Annabeth and Thalia dragged a tired Cassia as they walked ahead of Percy into the military school. The brunette girl was slowly starting to regret coming, but there was no backing out now. She was debating on slipping out of their arms and flopping down on the ground, where the somewhat soft carpet would have to do while she peacefully closed her eyes. Theoretically speaking she could, but it was too much work and she didn't have enough energy for that.

"Cheer up, Dream Girl. It wont take too long, you'll see." Her blonde best friend Annabeth said. Her words made Cassia grumble even more. She attempted to wriggle out of the two girls' grip, but they tightened their hold on her, causing Cassia to sigh in defeat. Percy snickered from behind, and the girl turned her head to face him as she stuck her tongue out and gave him the middle finger.

Now that he thought about, Percy noticed that Cassia had blue eyes, soft ones, and they looked about as soft as a fluffy blanket. However the softness in her eyes did not match the blank stare the girl usually wore.

It was an interesting contrast, Percy thought, but he couldn't help but wonder about how whenever he saw her roaming camp, keeping to herself and not bothering to socialize with other people, she was sometimes in the company of another girl, one who looked just like her but younger. Annabeth had told him that the other girl was Cassia's younger sister, Leila, and he couldn't help but notice how she would stare at the younger Gilmore girl longer than she did towards anyone else. It was strange.

He'd also seen her in the company of a few other kids, namely Chrysander and Claire Alcott (twin kids of Apollo), Esmarie Collins (daughter of Aphrodite), and Elodie Campbell (daughter of Demeter). They all seemed rather close, and sometimes Leila would hang out with them too. Percy had seen them all sitting at a tree that had been decorated to their liking: a hammock for Cassia, a cutout bookshelf for Leila, a hung up mirror for Esmarie, Elodie had the whole tree technically since it grew apples for them all, and for the twins, well, the sun always shone the brightest where they sat, so they had that for them.

Something about the air felt different suddenly. It felt suspenseful. Cassia's hand went up to her dragonfly hair pin, where her loyal sword Dream Eater rested. She noticed Thalia had let go of her and was rubbing her favorite magic item, her silver bracelet. She then glanced back at Percy and saw that his hand was at his pocket, where his pen (which conviently turned into a sword) was. Cassia knew that they all thought the same thing. A fight was coming.

"I wonder where-" But Annabeth was cut off by the sound of the doors slamming close.

"Oo-Kay." Percy mumbled. "Guess we'll stay awhile."

They all stashed their overnight bags—well, the three that came in the car did. Cassia just shoved the backpack she took everywhere with her with the same things in it and her skateboard underneath it, blowing multiple kisses to it as she was once again dragged away—behind a pillar and continued down the hall.
