THE GROUP WAS STILL ON THEIR JOURNEY TO Fort Benning, due to Shane's demands. They were currently on the highway and Josie was laying on the bed, trying to get rid of a migraine that occurred earlier that day.
Most of her migraines were starting to get better and the bruises on her cheek and jawline were starting to fade. Lori made the assumption that her concussion was better, but still to take it easy.
The RV began to slow down, so Josie slowly sat up and made her way to the front of the vehicle and leaned against Glenn's seat. She saw that there were loads of cars blocking their path, then Dale looked out the window as Daryl approached it on his motorcycle.
"See a way through?" Dale asked.
Daryl gestured for Dale to follow him, then Glenn sighed. "Uh, maybe we should go back. There's an interstate bypass."
Dale shook his head. "We can't spare the fuel."
"We could stop and fill up here," Josie suggested. "There's loads of cars here."
"Jeez," Glenn said as he kept his eyes on the carnage.
Just then, something burst in the RV's engine and smoke began to billow from the front. Dale sighed and stopped the RV as everyone climbed out of it.
"I said it, didn't I say it?" Dale asked. "A thousand times, dead in the water."
"Problem, Dale?" Shane asked, approaching the group at the front of the RV.
Josie rolled her eyes and looked at Shane. "What do you think?"
"Oh, just the small matter being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no hope of..." Dale trailed off as his eyes landed on the caravan of cars surrounding them. "Okay, that was dumb."
"Couldn't we find a radiator hose around here?" Josie asked.
"There's a whole bunch of stuff we could find," Daryl replied.
"Siphon more fuel from these cars for a start," T-Dog said.
"Maybe some water?" Carol asked.
"Food," Glenn added.
"This is a graveyard," Lori shook her head. "I don't know how I feel about this."
"All right, all right," T-Dog muttered.
"Here we go," Shane sighed. "Come on, y'all. Just look around, gather what you can."
T-Dog and Daryl ventured off to find some extra gas as the others began to look around for some supplies. The brunette went in between the cars cautiously, looking for food and water as she kept a tight hold on her bow, just in case any walkers came her way.
All of a sudden, she got grabbed from behind by her shoulders and got turned around. She was met face-to-face with Rick.
"Get under the car," Rick whispered.
Josie heard the panic in his voice, so she didn't question him and immediately dropped to the ground and slid under the car. Rick rolled under after her, then she looked at him for an explanation.
Rick held a finger to his lips and that's when Josie heard the shuffling. The brunette looked around and saw walkers moving past them, her eyes widened as she shut her mouth.
Josie's heart started racing as she thought about her daughter. Where was she? Was she safe? The brunette looked around and saw Lori and Carol under one car, along with Sophia under one and Carl and Parker under another.
