"Do we have to do it this way?" With a sense of awkwardness, I find myself lingering over the bed, my gaze peering down on Calix, who remains concealed from the world outside.

"Just do it." Axar simply states.

Suppressing a cringe deep within, yet determined to proceed, pressing forward with the plan regardless. "Here goes nothing." Breathing heavily, Calix's curiosity compels him to emerge from the depths of his cloak.  "Sorry about this."

"Huh?" Baffled, his brows furrowed in perplexity.

Covering his head with his cloak, picking and swinging his body over my shoulder like a sack of flour. "Shhhhh! I don't want the girls finding out." In hushed tones, I catch the faint sound of his muted pleas and grumbles, accompanied by the rhythmic thumping of his protesting legs kicking my stomach. Luckily, my wolf-like strength allows me to effortlessly bear his weight without breaking a sweat.

Dashing down the staircase, my momentum abruptly halts as I arrive at the bottom. Stand frozen, straining my ears to catch the muffled exchange emanating from the other side of the door that grants access to the front of the shop. The tone of Shivani's voice indicates that the conversation is far from pleasant. As much as I yearn to eavesdrop and uncover the secrets being shared, I realize that I have more pressing matters to attend to.

As we exit the shop, I can't help but notice a few glances coming from the some elves walking past. It seems that they have grown accustomed to my mischievous behavior and choose to carry on with their day without any interference.

After a considerable amount of time dashing through the dense forest, making my way towards a neighboring town renowned for its incredible array of entertainment options, including captivating music shows and an abundance of thrilling experiences, especially the red district. Yet, I couldn't help but acknowledge the potential consequences of Azara discovering me sneaking over to enjoy it all. The idea of her discovering my secret fills me with immense fear, as I knew it could have deadly consequences. Nevertheless, it is important to sometimes live boldly and fearlessly explore new territories in order to fully embrace the excitement of life.

Gasping for breath, gradually easing my pace before coming to a halt beside a towering tree. With a profound sense of relief, I carefully set Calix down, allowing my weary body a much-needed rest from the strenuous task of carrying him for what felt like an hours, but it was only a good hour and a half at most.

As I take a step back, Calix, overcome with anger and frustration, forcefully threw off the cloak that had concealed his face. The sudden movement startling me, as I brace myself for the torrent of emotions that would inevitably follow. "What the hell is wrong with you! Did you seriously have to resort to fucking kidnapping!?" Seeing Calix's pale face, I couldn't help but notice that his skin has taken on a bright red tint. The intensity of his agitation is clearly visible, as it radiates from his flushed cheeks. Clearly evident that being dragged out of the shop and carried against his will had deeply unsettled him."I know that you can be damn nuts sometimes, but this just takes the fucking cake!"

Suppressing the urge to burst into laughter at Calix's exaggerated response, I clenched my teeth to suppress any trace of amusement. Quickly acknowledging the importance of giving him space to process and overcome his current state of agitation. However, deep down, I fervently wish for this phase to pass quickly. I have thrilling plans in store for both of us, especially for the main event, which I intended on saving for last. That way, we could savor every moment of it when the time finally does arrive.
