Spruce paced the floor of the bedroom. "Alright. Jobs. What kind of summer job would I like to do? Hmmmmmmmm......"

As the Heartthrob tapped the pencil on his chin, John Dory sat on his bed, throwing a small ball against the wall and then catching it, repeating this. Clay spun in a spinning chair, and Floyd was on his laptop.
"Ugh, this is sooo hard," Spruce groaned.
"Don't worry, Spruce. I'm pretty sure that you will figure it out," Floyd said. "When it comes to finding a job, it usually be the one that clicks you. Like you feel like you can be great at."
Baby Branch walked across the desk and sat next to the striped paper. "How about you can be a babysitter?"
"Aw, that's silly, Baby Branch!" Spruce laughed, rubbing his left cheek, making this baby giggle.
"No, I'm for real. I believe you can be one," Baby Branch said.
"Spruce? The Heartthrob? A babysitter?" John Dory asked.
"I mean, anyone could," Floyd pointed it out.
Spruce chuckled. "Sounds nice but I don't know if I could do that, but thanks for the suggestion though."
"Oh." Baby Branch said sadly.
Seeing his brother a bit sad, Spruce had an idea to make him feel better. "TICKLE TIME!!!"
Spruce tickled Baby Branch, who laughed and tried to tell him to stop, but Spruce didn't as he couldn't help but to blow on his tiny tummy. Baby Branch screamed in happiness, wanting him to do it again and Spruce did.
"Aww, Spruce, you sure know how to make me HAPPY!" Baby Branch hugged Spruce.
"That's what brothers do, especially me," Spruce said.
"Hey, how about you could work at the Troll Supermarket at the cashier," Clay suggested.
Spruce pondered a bit. "Hmmm....I don't know...."
Floyd looked up from his laptop. "One way to figure it out is to think of things you like to do. For example, I like to take care of others and be around children."
"And I like to read and be at the library," Clay said.
"Okay, I didn't know any of these facts from you, bros," John Dory said.
"That's because you probably still see us as our BroZone roles," Clay mentioned.
John Dory put his hands in front of him. "Not all the time...maybe? Okay, maybe I do, but I'm working on that. But getting back on topic, the things I like to do is hiking and being in nature."
"And I love being with and spending time with you all," Baby Branch said.
"AWWWWWWWWW!!!" Spruce, Floyd, Clay, and John Dory said to Baby Branch.
Spruce rubbed Baby Branch's hair, smiling and chuckling at him. Oh, he admired the way his youngest brother had something cute to say. Why do the young ones like Baby Branch get to him so much?
He pondered for a moment. "Well, what things I like to do is..."
"Working out?" John Dory asked.
Spruce's face fell, which made his older brother press his lips, indicating that he would shut up for a moment.
"I do like to workout but as a job? Not really. What I really like to do is....to help others," Spruce said.
"That's a start," Clay said.
"How about you can be a tutor?" John Dory asked.
"That sounds boring. No offense to those who are tutors. It sounds nice, but it reminds me of school once again," Spruce said. "But I LOVE food, especially eating it. I don't know if that counts as a summer job, but it's something I love."
"I'm going to name some of them that I found listed here," Floyd said.
Spruce tapped his pen, listening carefully to what his second youngest brother had to say. Floyd named the following: Camp Counselor, Tutor, House Sitter, Critter Sitter, Critter Walker, and Gym Employee. But none of them seemed to click him at all.
He took a few more minutes of listening to other summer jobs that Floyd called out, although he didn't question what some of the jobs were about. But then he scratched some of the jobs that he figured out that wasn't a good idea.
"Hey, what about working at an ice cream shop?" Floyd asked.
Spruce's eyes widened. An ice cream shop. To him, it was such a great idea. He did love ice cream and he could name a lot of flavors that are usually at an ice cream shop, and he could learn how to scoop out perfect ice cream scoops in a jiffy.
"Work at an ice cream shop,. That's a great idea!" Spruce said.
"Really?" Clay asked.
"What? That's the one that interested me," Spruce admitted.
"Wow, you want to do a food-related.....summer job?" John Dory asked.
"What? I just LOVE food, especially ice cream!" Spruce said.
"And hey, and if you get that job, does this mean that you can get an extra discount?" Clay said.
"Meaning more ice cream!!" Spruce said. "So, it's an official. I'll be working at an ice cream shop."
"And you sure you do not want to work at the gym and assist other Trolls with working out?" John Dory asked.
Spruce's face fell once again.
John Dory smiled. "Okay okay, just asking. But all jokes aside, do you have any idea for a backup job?"
Floyd nodded. "John's right. You should at least have a backup job in case...."
"Backup? Pfft." Spruce waved a hand at his older brother. "I'm positive that this job is the one. I am positive. I believe that I can do this, no matter what."
