Everything seemed to work out, Johnny's idea was perfect. Ponyboy, Ky, Johnny, and I were able to get to the Walker residence before Nancy and to our luck we ran into Sodapop on the way and he agreed to hiding in her closet with us. Everything worked out, Nancy revealed the truth to Sodapop and I couldn't be more grateful. We were riding home, the truck in utter silence, I think we were all kinda shocked at how well the plan worked, besides Sodapop was a little hurt because he really loved Nancy. He sighed, "Steph, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. Nancy deserved you hitting her, and I'm sorry about what she did to you," "It's fine Soda, I'm sorry about what she did to you. You didn't deserve that." Kylee piped up from the back seat, "Soda, someday you're gonna find the most amazing girl and she will never treat you horribly...I promise," Soda smiled, "Thanks for the reassurance Kylee." We were pulling up to our house when I sadly spoke, "Are me and Steve over...forever?" Sodapop quickly spoke, "Of course not! Steph you didn't do anything wrong," "But he thinks I did, I mean you all thought I did." Sodapop hastily spoke, "Steph, we all saw the photo and just thought the worst, I'm sorry..I really am," "Soda, Steve's not going to believe me...what am I supposed to do?" "Just give him tonight to cool off, I'm sure we can get Bryce to tell him the truth, everything's gonna be okay Steph."

6:00 pm

I was devastated, after Bob left me I was left with empty void inside of me...and when I met Bryce, he filled that void. I was hurt by what he did, he played into his sister's crazy acts and hurt someone that I care about. Stephanie Curtis, I've been jealous of her for practically all of my teenage life. She's smart, and pretty. She has strong brothers who care about her and would do anything for her, and most of all she had a dream. I envied Stephanie, and I treated her horribly because I was jealous of her, but now, we're friends and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I was sitting in my living room when the doorbell went off, I opened the door and was met with an angry Nancy. She glared at me, "You lying bitch! You tricked me, how could you do that?" "How could you try and take someone's boyfriend? How could you date a boy that you don't even like?" "Don't even! You told me that you hated Steph, I told you all of my secrets just for you to backstab me?!?" "It had to be done Nancy, you were stealing a girls boyfriend," "She doesn't deserve him! She hasn't been here for him," "Because she's been at college, so that she can earn a degree and get a job to provide for herself. She doesn't have daddy's money like we do." Nancy scoffed, "Well, that sucks! It's not my fault that her worthless parents died in that accident." I snapped, I took my hand and slapped her...right in the spot that Steph had slapped her earlier. She looked at me crazily and slapped me back, I pushed her away from me and she glared at me, "You messed with the wrong bitch Cherry." Nancy grabbed me by my hair and pulled me closer to her, she took her fist and got ready to punch me, but was quickly stopped. Bryce came out of nowhere's and pulled her away me, "Nancy! What, are you crazy?!?." She glared at her brother, "How could you do this to me? You betrayed me Bryce," "Nancy, you have to stop! You aren't getting Steve, you just aren't, he doesn't want you," "Why though? Everything I've done these last few months has been for him!" "It doesn't matter, he doesn't want you...I'm sorry." She sniffled and sighed, "Fine then, but don't think I won't forget that you both betrayed me." She elbowed Bryce in the ribs before walking away, I looked at him shocked, "You are choosing me...instead of your sister?" "Cherry I'm sorry, I shouldn't have helped her with her diabolical plan...the only reason I did was because she was blackmailing me, I never wanted her to do this." I looked at him sadly, "You ruined Stephanie's relationship," "Cherry, I fixed it. I tricked Nancy into confessing, Sodapop heard everything," "Really?" "Yes! He knows the truth, everything is going to be okay." I looked at him sadly, he cupped his hand around my cheek, "Cherry, I'm sorry that I upset you. But I'm not sorry for this." He pressed his soft lips to mine and passionately kissed me, after a few short seconds he pulled away, "I like you, a lot. And I don't want you to leave me because of what I did," "Bryce that doesn't even matter, I'm leaving to go back to college in a few days. And I told myself not to fall for you," "D-Did you fall for me?" "Of course I did." I pulled him close and smashed my lips against his, he wrapped his arms around my waist and softly kissed me back.

7:00 pm

I was ushering the boys out of the house, our little Thanksgiving was at an end. After they left, I put my back against the door and sighed, suddenly the doorbell rang. I groaned and opened the door expecting to find one of the boys, instead it was Nancy. I glared, "Nancy, I told you that I don't want to be around you anymore," "Steve look, I need to confess. Steph didn't kiss Bryce, and she hasn't been seeing him since she got home. The truth is, I made Bryce kiss her so that I could take a picture and make it look like she was cheating." I looked at her appalled, "W-why would you do that?!? You made me think my girlfriend was cheating!" "I'm sorry Steve," "Does this mean that you're the one who screwed with the work schedule earlier this week?" "Uhm...yeah, I didn't want her spending time with you," "Your such a selfish bitch! Do you realize what you've done? You've literally been fake dating my best friend for 4 months, don't you know that he's in love with you?" "He's in love with me?" "Yes! Because he thinks you actually like him, does he know the truth?" "Yeah, he found out earlier." I slammed my hand against my head and sighed, "You just need to go Nancy, I don't want to see you anywheres near my friends," "But Steve-," "Your officially the worst person I've ever met," "Steve I did this because I love you, with all of my heart and I would do anything to be with you," "Well, you made the wrong choice because I don't love you and never will...the only girl I will ever love is Stephanie."
