Chapter 7 : Goofball

Law, in a flurry of urgency, made a frantic call, his relief palpable when the recipient finally answered.

"Uncle Doffy-ya!" he exclaimed, diving straight into the heart of the matter.

"What's the urgency now, Law?" came the slightly irritated query from the other end.

"It's critical. A man called Monkey D. Ace has been shot. We urgently need you to locate and retrieve him—immediately," Law implored, his voice tinged with desperation.

Doflamingo's response was less than enthusiastic, "And why should this concern me?" His tone conveyed annoyance rather than interest.

"This is about Y/N-ya... Ace is immensely important to her. We have to ensure he's safely brought back, and quickly," Law's desperation was palpable in his plea.

There was a brief silence as Doflamingo processed the request.

"His last known whereabouts?" he finally asked.

"He was last seen in New World State," Law provided, hoping for a swift resolution.

Doflamingo's frustration was evident in his reply, "Fan-Fucking-tastic, just our luck! We currently have no operatives in that area at the moment."

The sound of keys clacking furiously in the background hinted at his attempts to mobilize resources swiftly.

Law's anxiety peaked. " How is there no one available at such a critical time?! What about any of the other top-ranking hunters?" he pressed, pacing the room in agitation.

A scoff came through the line, "You're suggesting we deploy one of our top assets for a rescue mission? For a single individual, potentially on the brink of death?"

"Please, Uncle, this is non-negotiable!" Law's voice boomed over the phone, his plea echoing the gravity of the situation.

There was a moment of resignation from Doflamingo.

"This had better be worth the trouble, Law. I'll make the arrangements and notify the available operatives, but I can't guarantee who will be free to respond in time," he conceded, albeit reluctantly.

"Thank you! Just hurry! Make sure they deliver Ace-ya to Whitebeard's Corporation build! A man called Marco-ya will be operating on him. Y/N-ya can't find out about this; if she does, there's no telling what she might do," Law concluded, his concern for both Ace's welfare and Y/N's reaction palpable.

Ending the call, Law was left to hope that help would arrive in time, all the while dreading the potential fallout if you were to discover Ace's perilous situation on your own.

In the midst of the hospital's usual rhythm, with surgeries and treatments unfolding in a dance of precision and skill, you found yourself deep in the zone during another intricate operation.

Your focus was absolute, a perfect melding of concentration and expertise guiding your every decision.

The operation room buzzed with activity, a testament to the well-oiled machine that was your surgical team, moving seamlessly under your leadership.

Once the procedure was successfully concluded, your voice broke the concentrated silence, "Good job, everyone!" expressing your gratitude for their unwavering support before making your way out of the OR.

Peeling off your surgical gloves and mask, the familiar wave of post-surgery satisfaction washed over you, albeit mingled with the creeping tendrils of exhaustion.
