The first light of dawn crept into the Hazbin Hotel, painting the room in soft hues of gold and pink. Amidst the tranquility, Charlie and Vaggie lay entwined in a peaceful slumber.

In the midst of this serene moment, KeeKee, Charlie's cherished feline companion, leaped gracefully onto the bed. With a gentle nuzzle against the blonde's cheek, she bid her master a warm good morning.

This tender gesture was all it took to rouse Charlie from her dreams. She opened her eyes to the sight of her furry friend, enveloping KeeKee in a loving embrace, her sleepy expression giving way to a tender smile.

"Good morning, KeeKee," Charlie murmured softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she affectionately scratched the cat beneath its chin.

Turning her gaze, she looked over her shoulder, and her eyes gently widened at the sight of Vaggie beside her, in a deep sleep. To Charlie, Vaggie's serene expression seemed almost angelic, casting a tranquil aura over the room.

A delicate blush tinted Charlie's pale cheeks as she observed her partner's calm, rhythmic breathing, captivated by the peaceful scene.

With an adoring grin, Charlie gently slipped from the warmth of the bed, careful not to disturb Vaggie's restful sleep.

Intent on allowing her partner to enjoy a few more moments of deserved rest, Charlie tiptoed across the room with the utmost care. She made her way to the wardrobe to select her attire for the day, ensuring every movement was as silent as a whisper.

The blonde suddenly halted mid-step, her breath catching as she noticed Vaggie stirring in her sleep. Charlie's leg dangled precariously in the air, while the other seemed caught in a comical struggle, halfway through the leg of her pants.

She watched, frozen until she was certain she hadn't disturbed Vaggie. With a relieved sigh, she resumed her morning preparations, her heart still fluttering from the brief moment of suspense.

After getting dressed, Charlie approached the door, ready to start her day, but she paused for a moment, casting a final, affectionate glance back at Vaggie. With a smooth, quiet motion, Charlie opened the door, and as she did so, the morning's tranquility was shattered.

A crescendo of music, laughter, shouts, and the sounds of roughhousing poured into the room like a tidal wave, breaking the serene silence. The sudden onslaught of noise startled both Charlie and Vaggie, the latter of which jolted upright in bed, her expression a mix of confusion and panic.

"S.. Sorry," Charlie stuttered out, an awkward grin spreading across her face as she quickly shut the door to stem the noise flow.

"Ughh... It's seven-thirty..." Vaggie groaned, her voice thick with sleep as she irritably rubbed her eyes. "Do these people even sleep...?"

"I know, I know... it's... a lot," Charlie admitted, her typically sunny disposition slightly clouded by an undertone of annoyance. Despite the chaos outside, her spirit remained resilient, albeit with a hint of frustration coloring her words.

"—But I think it's kind of refreshing! It sort of reminds me of my high school days, heh," Charlie shared, her voice tinged with nostalgia, as she reminisced thoughtfully.

The statement left Vaggie to ponder—was Charlie downplaying the severity of their current predicament, or were her high school days genuinely that chaotic?

"I'm starting to see why you're so calm about all this," Vaggie couldn't help but respond, her tone a blend of amusement and disbelief.

"But it's been two days, and not a single sinner has taken what you've said about redemption seriously... It's really starting to get to me," Vaggie confessed, her arms crossed as she averted her gaze, a shadow of frustration evident in her posture. "I just... really want this to work out this time."
