Neteyams POV:
My family had to hold me back so I didn't run after her. They dragged y/n away onto an air craft. Why is it that she always sacrifices herself?
I fell to my knees in defeat.
My love is ripped away from me again, how is this any fair Eywa... please let her live.
"Neteyam let's head back," dad called out to me trying to get me to stand.
"How did we let this happen again!" I yelled to them. "Who knows what will happen to her? We don't even know where they are taking her," I looked at my father with pleading eyes.
"We should follow them," Lo'ak said in my defense.
"No we can't and you know we can't sons..." dad paused and took a breath, "we will have people searching for them once things settle, they won't kill her,"
"You don't know that," I told him and looked at mom, "come on mom, please do something,"
"You fathers right Neteyam, they took her for testing she's no good dead to them. And we will have people search for them shortly but if we lead it on too soon, they may restart the war,"
"They will hurt her though, they will torture her, are you guys really okay with that," I said to both of them standing.
Lo'ak stood beside me, "I think she was okay with that brother," he tried to put his hand on my shoulder, "she's strong enough to endure it long enough until she saves herself or we do."
"She's died once protecting me, I will not let it happen again," I said calling my Ikran.
"Do not follow them Neteyam, that is an order," dad said to me.
I looked at my father numbly I turned back around and hopped on my ikran and started flying through the forest.
I wasn't sure where I was going, they were right that it was dumb to follow them right now. I just can't lose my mate and soulmate again. It will wreck me and my family.
I miss her beautiful eyes and her smile. I want everything to go back to how it was before this stupid war.
As I flew around, I saw y/n's ikran looking for her. A sadness came over me seeing Iris in distress.
I flew down to Iris and directed her back to our home. Flying with Iris without y/n felt so wrong. I kept imagining her sitting there laughing but instead we were coming home without her, again.
As I landed on the edge I hopped off my ikran and saw everyone cheering in victory.
I know what the plan is for tonight. We'll have a ceremony for the ones we lost but then have a party to embrace the sacrifice they gave and the ones who made it back home along with "winning" the war.
Is it really a win when they got what they wanted?
I landed on the edge with Iris right beside me, I walked over to her and put my hand on her face, "We will bring her home," I told her. She made sad hum before I walked away.
I walked back to our hut and saw the rest of my family there minus my sisters as they were still safe at the ocean.
I walked right passed them and sat in the corner not looking at anything but my hands. How am I supposed to save the only girl I'll love when I don't know where she is.
"Neteyam," mom said to me cocking her head, "you know it was the right decision," she said walking over to kneel by me.
"We won't know till we see her again," I said looking at her with my lips tight. "If we see her again," I looked back to my hands.
"We will see her again," dad called out looking at one of his computer things. When he said it, he seemed like he was also trying to convince him self.
"Yeah bro, she strong they'll all probably be dead and ruined by the end of the week," Lo'ak said trying to cheer me up. "I mean she's literally a bad a-" he paused earning a look from mom, "and awesome fighter," he finished look down at the ground.
I had no clue what dad was doing but he looked really upset. Next thing I knew he tossed his computer to the side pissed off.
"Ma'Jake," mom said getting up and walking to him.
"They took it," he said talking to himself.
We all looked at him confused, "what do you mean," I asked standing.
"Her necklace," dad said pointing to his neck. "When they offered the deal I put a tracker on her necklace just as extra security," he said looking between all of us.
"The one we made for her," I asked back.
"Yes son, I told her it was an extra precaution and she was more than okay with it," dad said, "but I guess they may of already thought of that and took it from her and dumped it,"
"Well can you see the last location," Lo'ak asked.
"I can see their whole ride up to where it was dropped," dad said picking his computer back up.
He pointed out where it was and it seemed really far but nothing we couldn't handle.
"So we know the direction they went," I said getting hopeful.
"That is unless they turned after dropping it to distract us," dad said lowering his tone. "I hope we find her but I truly don't know if we will son"
"You can't say that, we have Eywa, and I won't stop until I find her,"
My dad looked at me with some sadness but I could tell he was just worried. This girl has gone through too much as is... how much more before she breaks even more?
"I just hope her testing is civil and not to horrendous," Lo'ak said earning a look from everyone that basically said, "are you serious" he looked down at the ground as a way to say sorry.
We know she's going to be going through hell.
