Yuu wasn't feeling well today, as he looked at the calendar, he let out a sigh.
Ayato, suspiciously staring at him, asked, "What's wrong with you?"
Yuu gazed up at the sky, lost in thought.
"I was just thinking."
"Thinking about what?"
"Ummm," Yuu murmured, "It's been three months since I arrived here."
Ayato, who had exceptional hearing, devoured the pancake baked by Yuu as he questioned, "So?"
"So, would you mind if I went out for a day?"
"Huh?" Ayato choked on his food.
Yuu looked at him and asked, "Can vampires still choke on food?"
Ayato reluctantly finished eating, his emerald eyes locked onto Yuu. "You've become very brave."
"Well, I think anyone would become brave after living with six blood-thirsty vampires." Yuu calmly state the fact.
Ayato rolled his eyes and retorted, "Not Yuri, she is more cowardly than before."
"Well, I think anyone would become brave after living with six blood-thirsty vampires," Yuu calmly stated the fact.
Ayato rolled his eyes and retorted, "Not Yuri, she is even more cowardly than before."
"Of course she would be, because you guys are constantly sucking her blood and scaring her," Yuu pointed out.
"But that's her purpose," Ayato stated matter-of-factly.
"I see," Yuu pondered and then asked, "What about me, then?"
Ayato, looking puzzled, replied, "I don't know."
Yuu was slightly taken aback. "You don't know?"
"Indeed, in fact, we were even puzzled as to why you were tagged along with the Sacrificial Bride," Ayato revealed.
Yuu remained silent, processing the new information.
Ayato continued, "But since you're here and know that we're vampires..."
"So you guys decided to keep me here," Yuu finished his speech.
Ayato nodded, but then remembered the question Yuu asked earlier. "Why do you want to go out?"
He glanced at Yuu suspiciously. "Are you up to something?"
"Nothing important, I just suddenly feel like going out."
"After spending three months living here, going from the mansion to the school every day has become quite boring."
"Boring?" Ayato asked, surprised.
"Yes, boring," Yuu confirmed.
Ayato frowned and seemed deep in thought, an expression that didn't quite suit his usually arrogant demeanor.
Yuu was amused.
In the evening, Yuu wandered dazedly through the halls of the mansion. Lost in his thoughts, he accidentally bumped into Reiji, who had just emerged from his room.
Reiji frowned and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Yuu snapped out of his daze and replied subconsciously, "Am I not supposed to be?"
Reiji, "...Of course not." He just thought Yuu was here for him since he was at his door.
"Don't go wandering around any empty room, "Reiji coughed and reminded.
Yuu nodded in understanding. "I see. Don't worry, I won't go into any empty rooms," he reassured Reiji before the latter left.
As Yuu reflected on Reiji's words, the mention of empty rooms sparked a memory of Kanato, the boy with the teddy bear. Reiji's warning seemed to imply that there was something suspicious about empty rooms in the mansion.
Yuu shook his head, trying not to let his thoughts wander too much. It wasn't like him to meddle too deeply.
Over the past few months, Yuu had started to feel as though someone was constantly watching him. However, he couldn't pinpoint who it might be. There had been no suspicious news or behaviors from the brothers, so could it be one of them?
However, Yuu had a gut feeling that it wasn't any of the brothers. Whoever it was, they had managed to bypass the surveillance of the six vampires living in the mansion.
Letting out a sigh, Yuu couldn't help but reflect on the constant problems that seemed to arise since coming to the mansion. First, he had to deal with the arrogant brothers, and now there was an unknown presence lurking in the shadows.
And in a mansion of this size, who was to say that only the six brothers were living here? There could be others hiding in the depths, unknown to Yuu.
It had only been three months, but Yuu was beginning to grow accustomed to life in the mansion. Initially, he had wanted to keep his distance and stay out of trouble. However, as time went on, his curiosity about the mansion and the six brothers had grown.
That's why today he had asked Ayato about going out. It wasn't just a random whim. He wanted to test whether that suspicious gaze would follow him outside the mansion. Although he hadn't felt it at school, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched.
It was really uncomfortable.
Outside, Yuu encountered Laito, who was sleeping while leaning against the wall. Perplexed, Yuu walked towards him and stared at his relaxed form.
He couldn't believe that Laito hadn't woken up yet. As if on cue, Laito opened his eyes and greeted Yuu with a charming smile.
"Yuu-kun, are you staring at me because I am handsome?" Laito teased.
Yuu shook his head, refocusing his thoughts. "No, I was just wondering why you were sleeping out here."
Laito stretched out his arm and let out a yawn. "Because it's cool outside," he explained nonchalantly.
Yuu couldn't help but ask, "Don't vampires have the ability to regulate their body temperature?"
Laito pouted and batted his eyelashes playfully. "Yuu-kun, do you have any misunderstandings about us vampires?"
Coughing to divert the conversation, Yuu changed the subject. He looked at Laito, who was holding him in an embrace, and tried to come up with a solution for his hunger.
"Yuu-kun~~ I am hungry, what should I do?" Laito questioned.
"I will bake pancake?"
"Ehhh, no, only Ayato would like it."
Laito sniffed around his neck.
"It's seem that you weren't bitten today~~"
"Yuu-kun, may I have the honour of your first bite today?", Laito smiled.
Yuu sighed.
Laito naturally concluded that as a sign of yes and bit down on Yuu's neck.
"Hgnn...no matter what, I really can't used to being bitten."
Laito heard him complained and smiled.
He thought compared to the reaction what he was first bitten. It was really a huge improvement.
Laito narrowed his eyes in pleasure. Yuu-kun's blood tasted so delicious~~ Especially there is no other vampire's smell.
