(Y/N)'s POV:

As the second week of the new term began, I found myself back at North Shore, surrounded by the familiar faces of the Plastics, or as I like to call them my best friends. Regina, Gretchen, Karen, and I formed a tight-knit group and currently sit on top of the hierarchy at North Shore. We are respected, hated and feared with our perfectly styled hair and designer outfits, but that's the way Regina likes it to be. We are inseparable.

We walk through the crowded dining hall giggling and whispering secrets as we settled down at our usual table.

Regina, with her blonde hair cascading down her shoulders and her piercing blue eyes, sat across from me. I couldn't help but steal glances at her, captivated by her beauty and the air of confidence that surrounded her. I can't help the way I feel about her, whenever I'm in her presence, it's hard to hide these feelings.

As we sat there, we began our usual routine of gossiping and making fun of other students. Regina's sharp wit and cutting remarks never failed to make everyone at the table erupt in laughter. It was both intoxicating and intimidating, watching her effortlessly assert her dominance over others.

Regina's POV:

I couldn't help but notice (Y/N) sitting across from me, her eyes sparkling with mischief. There was something about (Y/N) that had always intrigued me, something that set her apart from the other girls. Maybe it was her confidence or her unapologetic authenticity. I couldn't deny the magnetic pull I felt towards her, a pull that scared me because I couldn't understand it fully.

But every now and then, when (Y/N) would laugh at one of my jokes or flash me a knowing smile, I couldn't help but wonder what if. I tend to wonder were those subtle hints of something more than friendship? Or was I just imagining things?

(Y/N)'s POV:

Just as we settled into our usual routine, a commotion at the next table caught my attention. The new girl, Cady I'm sure her name is, was being stopped by Jason, one of the jocks, who was asking her a question. I watched with mild curiosity, wondering how this interaction would unfold. Mostly because I can't believe he's actually chatting up the new girl right in front of Gretchen, this guy honestly, I don't understand what she sees in him.

Regina, always quick to assert her dominance, couldn't resist. With a sly grin, she insulted Jason, causing the entire table to burst into laughter, even Gretchen. Jason, clearly embarrassed, stuck up his middle finger and quickly stormed off, leaving Cady standing there, unsure of what to do next.

Regina, ever the queen bee, beckoned Cady to sit with us. I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as Regina's attention shifted towards the new girl. It was a familiar feeling, one that had become a constant companion whenever Regina interacted with someone new.

Regina's POV:

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to interfere when the new girl was stopped by Jason. It was like a game to me, to see how I could manipulate and control the people around me. And, of course, the Plastics followed suit, laughing along with my biting insult.

As Jason stormed away, defeated, I turned my attention to Cady. There was something about her, an innocence mixed with curiosity, that intrigued me. I couldn't help but notice (Y/N) sitting infront of me, her expression changing slightly. Was it jealousy I detected in her eyes? Why do I secretly hope it was? And why do I desperately want to play on it.

With a mischievous smile, I turned to Cady as she sat down and said, "You're like really pretty." I watched as a blush crept up her cheeks, a reaction I had come to expect from most people. But this time, I couldn't help but steal a glance at (Y/N), wondering how she would react.
