Steve used to bet on card games with Bryan (they mostly played poker, cards but rarely UNO or goldfish), but he eventually stopped betting against Steve because he became better and almost always managed to beat him in one way or another. Also, with everything Bryan was doing and the attitude he took against everyone Steve stopped trying to bond with him.
Instead Steve now plays with Vinnie and GC (Game Corner) since they are both "old" and know how to play well.
Alternatively now Steve is teaching Fylan, Gregory and sometimes G.Foxy how to play so that he has more players and people with whom to share some of his "secret" interests with others.
This is not a secret to everyone at the MegaPlex because Steve's interest in games of chance originated when Pat was still around, because she not only explained what they were but also taught him how to play and how to cheat (Steve doesn't like to cheat but he knows how).
and so they both used to hang out in the security office, Pat noticed that Steve loved them so much that they even gave him his own deck of poker cards... even after all, Steve still keeps that same deck and calls it his "lucky deck"
