REGARDING THE WILBUR SOOT SITUATION.
Hello! So, as a lot of you will know, Wilbur soot recently confirmed the allegations against him for abuse, in the form of an apology. However, this apology was genuinely not formatted well, and there could've been a lot more things to make it sincere, and less about himself. This apology was generally pretty half-assed, in my own opinion. He spoke of how he got therapy, and how he's trying hard to change and wishes to be held up to the high standards set for him, and that he maintains it. Again, a lot of what Shelby said was not addressed.
Wilbur spoke of how he was 'deeply shocked' about the abuse allegations, and how he was under the influence that everything was 'playful', 'affectionate', and consensual. This is not what Shelby said.
Shelby said how she used a safe word multiple times, however Wilbur did not stop, and only bit harder or gritted his teeth.
This is not what a safe word is for. A safe word, for those uninformed, is for people to use as a way to say No. A safe word can be something like a flower, scent, object, etc. It is a word that, as the name suggests, is used for safety during intimate moments, or physical contact.
Disrespecting a safe word, or weaponizing it, is immediately either abuse or assault.
And so, Wilbur weaponizing it is quite literally just abuse, and no form of abuse is acceptable.
He also spoke of how he 'sincerely apologises', and yes, while this is most definitely an apology, the place it was put in, at the end of the second-to-last paragraph is completely unacceptable. An apology, especially one admitting to such horrible accusations and allegations, should be first and for most. This apology seemed like it was almost an after thought, which is another reason why Wilbur is receiving so much hate for it, despite it being an apology. Personally, i am not going to drop him, only for personal reasons. However, there is no way i will be supporting him at all, not until Shelby receives a true, sincere, and formal apology for the pain Wilbur caused her. The original statement is unacceptable as an apology. Do better, Wilbur Soot.
REGARDING MY TNTDUO ONESHOTS.
Now, there is a problem which comes with this situation, and that is what to do with my oneshots.
I am going to continue to work on the prompts i have (the chapters that are in the working), however i will not be writing after that, and the oneshots will be discontinued until I feel i can write about him again, which may be awhile. It all depends how long it takes to die out, or how long it takes for Wilbur Soot to take accountability and how long it takes for a formal apology towards Shelby, Not towards the audience. Fire Smelling Feathers will be continuing, because this is centered on Revivebur, Who is a character, and not actually the Wilbur Soot now. This is only continuing because of the fact he ended DSMP in 2022, this situation began in 2023. Any other books with Wilbur in them, including the Wilbur Soot POV of the SMP, will be taken down and i will not be posting on them until i feel i can. Again, that is when Shelby receives a true apology that she accepts.
REGARDING MY OWN OPINION.
I will not be supporting Wilbur. Yes, i still love him, there are reasons why I am unable to drop him, which are heavily personal, but i refuse to speak highly of him, or to actually speak any sort of good about him for a while.
REGARDING YOUR OWN OPINIONS.
I, personally, do not care for what you guys think about this situation, you are allowed to have your own opinions and i will not be blocking anybody for what they think. If you, anywhere i see, on my books, your own message board, or other books, hate towards somebody who still likes him, or writes good about him, you will be blocked. People have reasons why they cannot drop him, and you have no right to hate on them, doxx them, or send death threats to them. I have already blocked a few people with no hesitation at all who were hating on people for still liking him. We have different opinions, respect that.
I do not want to see anybody discussing this situation in any of my other messages. This post is where you can discuss, i will answer any questions you have, and my page will be a safe space.
