"Tell me when you see smoke in the air!" I yell "Smoke in the air! Smoke in the air!" Rooster yells "Hold on!" I yell as I shift gears, dodging the missile "Here comes another one!" He says "Gosh dog dude!" I groan "Rooster, flares. Now! Now! Now!" I yell "I'm going at them!" I yell as I flip upside down after the missile is counter attacked. "Come on." I say as I focus my laser on the plane "You got it! Take the shot!" Rooster yells but then the pilot does come crazy maneuver I've never seen before getting behind us. "Holy shit! What the fuck was that?" Rooster yells "I have no fucking clue!" I yell "Hang on, we've got to get low!" I tell him dropping down as the plane starts shooting at us. "Talk to me, Rooster. Where is he?" I ask "He's still on us!" He tells me "We took a hit, we took a hit!" Rooster says "Damnit!" I yell "Come on, Viper. Do some of that pilot shit!" He tells me "Hold on!" I yell as I pull straight up into the air and drop back down just like I did to maverick in training "Holy Shit!" Rooster yells "Out of missiles, switching to guns." I tell him once I'm behind the plane and start shooting. I'm getting low on bullets and on my very last try I finally hit him making him to go down into the side of the mountain. "Nice hit Viper." Rooster tells me "God bless America I did it" I say letting out a big breath
"Teagan, I've got the radio back on." Rooster tells me as we fly back "Alright try and get in contact with them" I tell rooster and just then an alarm sounds, signaling someone is on us. I look around but I don't see anyone "Where the hell is this guy?" Rooster asks "He's on our nose." I say looking in front of me I try to shoot but there's nothing left "Dammit we're out of ammo!" I yell as a missile comes our way "Smoke in the air! Rooster flares!" I yell as I turn the plane "That was close!" Rooster says "We're out of flares T!" He tells me The plane turns around and is already on us "Shit he's already in us!" I mumble I try to dodge the rain of bullets but there was no where to go. We can't out run him in this plane, and we have no ammo left. "We took another hit!!" Rooster yells "No no no no!" I mumble We get hit again. "We can't take much more of this! Do that pilot shit!!" Rooster yells
My heart dropped. We aren't going to make it out of this. There's nothing I can do "Bradley, we have to eject! When I tell you pull the ejection handles" I tell him "Teagan, wait no!" He yells "Bradley, I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do! When I tell you to eject you eject" I yell as I pull up, sending us into the sky.
"Eject! Eject! Eject!" I yell but nothing happens "Bradley pull the handle, eject!" I yell "It's not working!!" He yells I let out a sob when I realize I can't save us. "T.." I hear rooster whisper "I'm sorry rooster. I'm so sorry" I cry "I love you T" I hear rooster say "I love you too" I cry as I close my eyes waiting for impact as our alarm goes off telling us he has us locked.
But the beeping stopped and I hear an explosion. I look up to see one of our planes "Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. This is your savior speaking. Please fasten all seatbelts. Return all tray-tables to their locked and upright positions. And prepare for landing." I hear hangman say as both Rooster and I let out a laugh as we look at him. "Ive never been so happy to see you" I smile "Hey Hangman, you look good." Rooster tell him "I am good, Rooster. I'm very good." He smiles "I'll see you back on deck." He tells us as he flys off
"Ready for this Rooster?" I ask him "For what?" He asks "To have a little fun" I smirk We fly right past where admiral Cyclone and Warlock were, making the whole thing shake.
I turn back around as we start making our way to land, and the left engine fails "Don't tell me we just lost a engine" rooster says "Alright I won't tell you" I say
I take a deep breath as we land, it was rough due to the front landing wheel being broken. They spray down the plane once we land. Once they are done we finally get out
Watching as everyone cheers for us, happy we completed the mission and back home alive. Phoenix comes up to me and gives me a big hug "Oh I'm so proud of you! I'm glad you're back" she smiles "I'm glad to be back" I smile
As I walk through the crowd everyone patting my shoulders. Hangman walks up to me He puts his hand out for me to shake. I shake his hand then bring him into a small hug Then rooster and phoenix come over "Got yourself another kill" rooster tells hangman "That makes 2" hangman smirks "Yeah well V has 5, that makes her a ace" she smiles "Damn right it does" I smirk
I walk over to Maverick who was waiting for me As soon as I get there he pulls me into a tight hug "You're parents would be proud" he tells me "Iceman would be proud, and I'm proud" he smiles "Thank you Maverick. I didn't get to tell you earlier but I forgive you." I say giving him a small smile He just smiles and nods before walking over to rooster. I watch as they hug and talk, then they both look over at me and smile. I smile back confused on what they were talking about. Then rooster started walking over to me
"Hi" he says "Hi" I say in the same tone "So, may I get that kiss now? Cause you know we kinda confused our love for each other when we thought that we were going to die and-" He starts to say "Oh shut up" I say then pull him into a kiss The crowd around us cheers as he dips me as we kiss
After we pull apart we just smile while looking at each other. I could see he was trying to find words to ask me something "Ask away rue" I smile "Be mine?" He asks "Forever" I smile as we lean in for another kiss
