Constantly running behind
Too many things on the brain
Or the schedule magnetized to
The front door slamming shut
Without a second look at
What is always going to be due
Leaving the keys behind on the table
The shoes hidden under the couch
The vape resting under the pillow
The credit card in the pants' pocket
Stripped off after coming home from
The bar that was boring three hours
Before it closed and everyone left
Creating the grog and the hangover
Impossible to start the morning
Or remember to check the schedule
Losing more time than what
Had ever been given while it keeps
Speeding up and creating a cycle of
Constantly running behind
