On the crisp morning of August 3rd, Amalie was abruptly whisked away from the comfort of her usual breakfast routine by none other than Emma. It seemed Emma was on a mission to entangle her in the pursuit of the perfect yukatas for the impending festival, alongside Hinata.
As Amalie surveyed the array of yukatas, a perplexed tilt of her head indicated her entry into uncharted territory. Her usual fashion inclinations leaned towards leather coats and comfortable yet elegant outfits. Her knowledge of fashion extended only to the clothes she wore daily, and she couldn't help but imagine that Rebekah would revel in exploring this festival wardrobe.
" I found it !". Emma's sudden exclamation snapped the attention of Amalie and Hinata.
Emma triumphantly presented a red yukata adorned with delicate flowers, insisting it was destined for Amalie.
" This one is for you ! The color will look great on you; you absolutely must have it". Emma insisted, beaming.
Hinata chimed in," The color goes well with your eyes and hair !".
" Alright. I'm trusting you two on this, then". Amalie acquiesced, accepting the proffered yukata with a smile.
In no time, Hinata settled on a pink yukata, while Emma opted for a dark blue counterpart. The trio later gathered at a quaint café for a brief respite before reconvening at Hinata's family apartment to prepare for the festival.
After a refreshing shower, Amalie stood before the yukata with trepidation. The unfamiliar garment posed a challenge, and she wrestled with it, almost comically, struggling to don it correctly.
After all, she was more accustomed to wearing dresses and pants than yukatas.
" Amalie ? Is everything alright ?". Hinata's concerned voice called out.
"Yes ! I'm ready, I think". Amalie replied.
Emerging from the room, Amalie's appearance drew a slight smile from Hinata, who couldn't hide the amusement at Amalie's predicament.
" It doesn't look good on me, is that why you're making that face ?". Amalie inquired, pouting.
Hinata chuckled," You're beautiful. But wait, I'll just arrange it a little better, shall I ?".
Amalie nodded," Yes, I've never worn one before, so...".
" Oh really ? It's a shame because it really suits you". Hinata replied, assisting her with a warm smile.
" There, it's done. Emma is waiting for you in my room; let's go show her". Hinata suggested.
Amalie expressed her gratitude, blushing at the compliment. As they entered the room, Emma's eyes widened in awe at Amalie's transformed appearance.
" Aw, you are so cute in this". Emma beamed.
" Heh, thanks !". Amalie replied, her cheeks tinted with a rosy hue.
" The color is really great on you ! I'll do your hair". Emma declared with excitement.
" I'll let you two finish; I'm going to take my shower and put on my yukata, okay ?". Hinata interjected.
" Okay". Amalie replied.
As Hinata departed, Emma guided Amalie to a seat, where she skillfully began to arrange her hair.
" What hairstyle would you like me to create for you ?". Emma inquired.
" Something simple... Please". Amalie replied.
Contemplating the imminent confrontation with Moebius, Amalie desired a hairstyle that allowed ease of movement. She harbored doubts about Moebius surrendering easily, especially with Osanai out of the picture. Above all, she knew she needed to keep a vigilant eye on Draken and Kol throughout the evening.
