Chapter Thirty- Nine: A Proposal Daydream

After a long day of thwarting the villains' plans and saving Bumblyburg once again, Larry, Bob, and May decided to treat themselves to a well-deserved dinner at their favorite restaurant in town.

As they strolled through the streets of Bumblyburg, enjoying the cool evening breeze, they stumbled upon a heartwarming scene—a couple standing beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, surrounded by friends and family, as the man got down on one knee and proposed to his beloved.

May's eyes sparkled with joy as she watched the couple embrace, her heart swelling with happiness at the sight of their love. Larry couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he imagined himself in the man's shoes, proposing to May, the love of his life.

Lost in his daydream, Larry pictured himself getting down on one knee, a ring in hand, as he poured his heart out to May. He imagined the look of surprise and delight on her face as she said yes, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks.

But before Larry could get too lost in his fantasy, Bob nudged him gently, bringing him back to reality. "Earth to Larryboy," Bob teased, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Are you okay?"

Larry blushed furiously, realizing that he had been lost in his own thoughts. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine," he stammered, trying to shake off the embarrassment.

May chuckled at Larry's flustered expression, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Looks like someone's got romance on the brain," she teased, giving Larry a playful nudge.

Despite his embarrassment, Larry couldn't help but smile at May's teasing. And as they continued on their way to dinner, he couldn't shake the feeling of warmth and contentment that filled his heart. Who knew? Maybe one day his daydream would become a reality. But for now, he was content to simply enjoy the company of his two best friends and the love that surrounded them.
