you were the love of my life,
once upon a time;
i was yours and you were mine.
when times were tough,
we were each other's lifeline,
vowing to always come through for each other;
rain, hail or sunshine.
i remember the end of it,
but i thought we were fine;
yet the truth of it all was i was nothing more than a crime
& now i'm crying, remembering the time when you wer mine
wanting to call you to save me,
but you're no longer my lifeline.
