If the willows cried along with us tonight
Because a loved one died or we lost a fight
If the lakes overflowed because we're sad and alone
Because we lost our heads and we're afraid to let go
And what about when we lose all our friends?
Will life come to a halt? Will the world see its end

If the stars in the night fell out of the sky
Because you lost the light or were kicked with a lie
If the sun lost its glow because we're sad and alone
Because it got to our heads after all the low blows
And what about when we face it over again?
Will it come easier now? Will we act the same then?

If all the flowers die because they saw the night
Because they ran out of time or simply hated life
If all the stories grew old because our hearts grew cold
Because we hit our heads on a bump in the road
And what about when we can't even stand?
Will you seek my hand? Will you let me go then?
