You sat down in your hideout. You were hiding out from the rest of Corona. You couldn't bear Rapunzel's disrespect any longer. She wouldn't listen to your concerns, she obviously couldn't rule, so you did what had to be done. Why would anyone want to go against you? Taking over Corona would be easy, if it wasn't for Rapunzel and her damn hair. Eh, you still had the upper-hand. Currently, you had kidnapped Varian, your ex-bestfriend, and had him knocked out in the other room. He would be good enough leverage, since he knew some of the secrets about Corona. You had to check to see if he woke up yet anyway.
When you got to the room Varian was in, he was still knocked out. God, was he a deep sleeper or what? You shook him awake. "Varian, are you ever gonna wake up?" He woke up and looked at you. "Y/n?" He looked around (this man would take a hot minute to realize he's kidnapped in true disney practice). "You kidnapped me?" You gave him a blank stare. "No, i just happen to be in a badass villian outfit having a conversation with you while you're tied up." Sometimes, you felt like punching him. He may be smart, but he was sometimes lacking in common sense.
"Y/n, you don't have to do this." D-did he not understand the numerous castle break-ins and clear resentment? "I want to." He looked at you confused. "But why would you want to do this? Why would you want to hurt innocent people? This isn't like you y/n, please, snap out of it." If he said anything else, you would have slapped him. "You act like you're better than me, like you have any right to judge me. Don't act like you know me, because if you didn't notice that i was clearly unstable, then our friendship didn't mean anything." Varian thought for a moment. You always were strange, but he assumed you were just like that.
"Ok, so maybe you're a bit different, but that's no reason to try to overthrow Corona's royalty!" Is-is he stupid? "Varian, i appreciate the sentiment, but didn't you try to basically murder everyone in Corona? Honestly, i thought you would be more supportive of my career in malfeasance." "Y/n please." Just then, music starts playing. "What the- how are you doing this?" Varian begins to sing, leaving you confused.
"The path of hate is a dangerous track. You take one step and it's hard to turn back. It pulls you along, and though it seems wrong, it feels right!"
"What the-? Why are you singing, what do you hope to achieve?"
"Don't you see this path you're on leaves a permanent mark? It feels good at first, then it slowly turns dark. With each passing day, you're further astray from the light!"
"Are you reusing songs? Wow, shows how much you care."
"Suddenly you lose your way and lose your thread! Lose your cool and lose your head! Every loss is harder to excuse!"
"Varian, please shut up."
"Then you'll see you'll lose your faith and lose your soul! Till' you lose complete control! And realize, there's nothing left to lose! Nothing left to lose!"
"Varian, shut up."
"Y/n trust me, becoming the villian isn't the answer."
"See, this is why i didn't ask you out."
"Wait, what?"
