"It's beauti-

"Don't you dare, PORCHAY!" Lin and Nin yelled, watching him with startled expressions.

"God, fine," he muttered under his breath, continuing to look around in a daze at the beautiful scenery in front of the old house. It was just perfect.

The horizon, ideal for sunrises and star-gazing, was framed by a luscious green carpet of grass spreading out in every direction. It was just as beautiful as their mother used to describe.

"Don't argue with them, brother." Porsche came from behind, chuckling as his younger brother scrunched his nose.

"Mother described it exactly like this,"Porchay said, and Porsche joined him, humming softly.

It was indeed pretty here.

Suddenly, they heard off-tune singing.

"We go barren, we go below, but we rise above-

"STOP, UNCLE!" they all yelled together. Not today. They had just arrived and were too tired to listen to a poorly sung song.

Uncle Aat huffed and said, "Brats, you don't appreciate me enough.

Finally, the captain of the beloved Kittisawasd house, Areth, took a stroll and came laughing

"This could work, maybe," he thought to himself.

Despite the beauty of their surroundings, the reality of their situation began to sink in as they stepped inside.

The interior was modest, to say the least. The furniture was old and worn, the floors creaked with every step, and ai faint musty smell lingered in the air. The cottage had clearly not been lived in for some time, and it would take a lot of work to make it feel like home.

"Alright, everyone, let's get to work," Areth said, clapping his hands together.

"We have a lot to do"

Lin and Nin were the first to voice their displeasure. "This place is a dump!" Lin exclaimed, looking around with a wrinkled nose. "How are we supposed to live here?"

Nin nodded in agreement. "And it's so dirty! I can't stand it."

Areth, ever the patient father, sighed and placed ar reassuring hand on Lin's shoulder. "I know it's not what we're used to, but we'll make it work. Let's just take it one step at a time."

Porsche, always the practical one, grabbed an old, worn basket and headed for the door. "I'll go collect some wood for the fireplace. We'll need it to keep warm tonight."

"Good idea," Areth said, giving his eldest son a nod of approval. Be careful out there.

As Porsche made his way into the nearby woods, Areth turned to the rest of the family.

"Aat shall be going to the market to see if he can get us some vegetables. We need something for dinner." He looked at Porchay "Can we two handle getting the beds sorted out?"

"Sure thing, Father," Porchay replied, his usual enthusiasm undimmed by the circumstances.

Areth grinned, clapping Porchay on the back. "We'll make this place cozy in no time, won't we, lad?"

With everyone assigned their tasks, the family dispersed to start the hard werk of making the cottage livable.

Lin and Nin reluctantly began dusting and sweeping, their complaints about the dust and grime never quite stopping. "I can't believe we're doing this," Lin muttered, scrubbing at a stubborn stain on the floor,

"It's so unfair," Nin added, her voice tinged with frustration, "We shouldn't have to live like this."

Despite their grumbling, the sisters made progress, their efforts gradually transforming the dingy interior into d cleanes, more welcoming space.

Meanwhile, Porsche was in Forest and

Areth navigated the bustling market, haggling with vendors and selecting the best produce he could find.

It was a far cry from the opulent feasts they once enjoyed, but he managed to secure a good variety of vegetables and some fresh bread.

As he made his way back, he thought about how their circumstances had changed but also how their bonds as a family had strengthened.

Back at the cottage, Aat and Porchay worked together to sort out the bed rooms.

They shook out dusty bed sheets and fluffed old pillows, doing their best to make the beds comfortable.

"Uncle, do you think we'll ever get back to how things were?" Porchay asked, his voice small and uncertain.

Areth paused, considering his nephew's question. "I don't know, Porchay. But what I do know is that we have each other. And as long as we stick together, we'll be alright.

By the end of the day, the Kittisawasd family had made significant progress. The cottage was cleaner, the beds were made, and a warm fire crackled in the hearth. They gathered around the small wooden table, sharing a simple meal of vegetables and bread.

Lin and Nin, though still grumbling, couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

Porsche was still calm. Aat looked around at his family, his heart swelling with pride and gratitude.

This may not be what we expected," he said ralsing his cup. But we are together, and we will make this work. To our new home."

"To our new home," they echoed, their voices filled with determination and hope.

As they settled in for the night, the Kittisawasd family felt a renewed energy.
