Chapter 3: A Pair of Star Crossed Lovers

Summit and West ran in to find Ivy standing over a book with Sky on the ground, evidently passed out.

"IVY! What are you doing?!"West cried and she said one sentence.

"To transfer half of the powers of Sky Ash Merrow to thine, with this drink of blood and wine." Ivy said as she picked up a chalice filled with red liquid and she put it to her mouth.

" NOOOOOO!!!!" Summit cried as his world collapsed. Today was definitely the day that West's destiny would come. It was too late, she had drank the potion and a bright light shined over Sky and the light went into Ivy. Her head slowly rose and then fell again. Galaxy got to the scene and didn't understand what had happened. Summit saw his daughter and knew she had taken Embers energy.

"She took Sky's power." Summit brokenly informed his daughter as she stood there clueless. West didn't know what to think and then something happened, he couldn't think at all. Thoughts were being pushed into his head that did not belong to him, and he knew that those were not his own thoughts because they were pure evil. Ivy stared at him with concentrated eyes. West started to jerk his head around. Then Galaxy had to do something, she saw fire out of the corner of her eye and she raised her hand and threw the fire at Ivy who lost concentration and then put her hands in front of her to block the fire but was unsuccessful. She screamed in pain. West looked at Galaxy not knowing who to trust.

"Stop it, both of you, just," West started but then he felt the thoughts come back to him and this time they were telling him to kill Galaxy. "No! I won't do it!" Sky slowly sat up and felt different than before. Something was gone, it was like a hole in his body. The thoughts, they screamed at West as he fought them and fell to his knees. His mind was growing weaker as these thoughts finally started to dominate his own thoughts. He started to agree with the thoughts but also fought them. He didn't know what to do and so he stood up and put his arms around Ivy.

" f you love me let me go!" West cried.

"I'm not letting go of you because I do love you and I want you on my side. Now listen to me." Ivy said and then she kissed West and he lost his control completely. Kill Galaxy, I can't control her, she's too pure. West turned on his sister with a resisting face. He didn't want to do it but something was forcing him to do it. He pulled a pocket knife out.

"Galaxy run!" Sky cried as he ran over to her and started to pull her away.

"No! He's my brother!" Galaxy cried and Sky looked her in the eyes.

"And so am I, and I know that Ivy will have him kill you in one second. He will do what it takes to get rid of you now come on!" Sky insisted and Galaxy looked at her brother who nodded and she ran with Sky and West started to follow him but then he was ok, he was too far away from Ivy. She couldn't control West because of the distance. He quickly realized this and saw his brother and sister.

"Galaxy! Sky!" West cried and the two siblings turned to the poor boy. "Whatever happens, you need to remember, I love you, more than I will ever love Ivy! Just remember that! I have a feeling I won't be able to get far away enough to tell you that again! I'm sorry for whatever I'm gonna do! Oh my god she's coming!" West turned around as he felt the anger and hatred for his brother and sister build up when the thoughts came to his head.

"Run, come on!" Sky shouted at Galaxy who didn't want to just leave her brother but then she realized something, where were her parents?

" MOM! DAD!" Galaxy shouted at the top of her lungs.

"We are ok get out of here!" Summit shouted at the top of his lungs as well and when Galaxy heard this she darted off with Sky.

"We have to get Ember Sky." She informed her youngest brother and they went to the garden where Ember still laid. Sky stopped, put Ember over his shoulder and they kept flying. "Where are we going?" Galaxy asked as they came near the edge of the castle.
