High School Drama [SONADOW]

Chapter 2 - New Members

It was three days after the cheerleader audition and the two hedgehogs couldn't stop staring at their phones ever since they woke up that morning.

During their next classes, during lunch, bathroom breaks, they would always check their phone just to make sure that they didn't miss out on any notification.

The last bell rung and they were packing their books. The two began to lower their hopes of passing the audition and it might just be the cruel reality for them that the team found someone better than them. Sonic got up from his desk and took Silver's hand.

"Come on, Silver, let's go back."

"No we have to wait!" Silver whined while holding his phone.

"I don't think they're gonna contact us. It's been a whole day and-"

Suddenly both of their phones got a text message at the same time. They both quickly checked the message from the unknown number. The two gasped in unison when the text was from the cheer captain himself and that they both passed the audition. They were expected to meet at the gym after school.

"We did it! We're cheer members now!" Sonic said and hugged his friend, he hugged back.

"We gotta go to the gym now, Sonic. They must be waiting for us." Silver suggested and they both pulled away from the hug. He was just as excited as the other.

Sonic nodded and they both hurrily made their way through the hallways to get to the gymnasium outside. Once they made it, they entered through the side door and saw all the cheerleader members inside. Some of them were stretching their legs and bodies and some were just talking and sitting down.

Scourge was waiting for them so he was the first to notice their arrival. He put his water bottle down and approached them.

"Hey there, I'm glad you both came." He said with a calming smile.

Sonic and Silver felt nervous again but they tried their best to keep their cool.

"We're so happy to be accepted." The azure hedgehog smiled back.

"And we're happy to welcome you." The captain nodded before turning back and clapped his hands once to call for his teammates.

They all gathered around in front of the new recruits. There were six of them, there's the captain which made it seven, and then counting the new members which made them have nine members in total.

"To those who didn't get to judge for the audition, these two are our new cheer members, Sonic and Silver." Scourge introduced them to the team, "they both are freshmen." He added.

"Freshmen?! You couldn't recruit any sophomores or juniors, maybe?" The yellow cat with black hair complained.

"Honey, I judged them by their techniques and abilities on their audition. The best ones just happen to be these two." Scourge shrugged, "also that's very rude, apologize."

The yellow cat named Honey groaned and fold her hands over her chest, "sorry..."

"Ah, that's alright." Sonic smiled awkwardly.

"Okay, so let's introduce the rest of the members. You already know Rouge and Amy over there, so let's start with you Honey." Scourge stated.

"Right...my name is Honey The Cat, I'm a junior, nice to meet you."

The introduction continued to the next person and the next again.

"I'm Gadget The Wolf, I'm a sophomore." The red wolf smiled.

"My name is Lanolin The Sheep, I'm also a junior." The white sheep said with an indifferent expression.

"My name's Blaze The Cat, I'm a sophomore. Nice to meet you." The lilac cat nodded her head at the freshmen, they nodded back.
