This is going to be sooooooo goooddd!!!! (Though please dont kill me if it isn't)

Hearth looked around the room at everyone he loved, the Perthro family. He stood up when he heard the clock chime twelve and felt his head spin, his vision swam before his eyes.

Alex rushed over and caught him before he could fall.

Woah tiger you can't go anywhere yet, we still have 15 minutes remember?

Hearth nodded and tried to gather his thoughts, failing miserably, he pushed away the- whatever, it was nothing. He was about to get some water when suddenly he was being shunted out the door and Samirah was looping her hand through his.

She looked into his eyes and they both made a very important decision. No falling whatsoever.

Hearth blinked and they were on the isle and suddenly he was facing Blitzen. Then the switch flipped. Time slowed down.

He could count every lash on Blitz's eyelids, he looked at his pure white suit, then at his pure black suit. He loved doing stuff that people didn't count as normal. So he figured his wedding outfit would be no different.

The priest said the words he had to and signed the rest. The time had come. Blitz looked into his eyes, piercing into Hearthstones heart. He lifted his hands and signed.

I do.

Everyone looked at Hearth expectantly. Fireworks exploded behind Hearthstone's eyelids as the thing he had been holding back came loose, unleashing it's fury mercilessly on Hearth. His vision blacked out to the image that was playing in his head for the hundredth time.

***

His father walked into the room and threw a coin onto the mattress. Hearth's heart skipped a beat. He scrambled to his board and frantically wrote I earned two coins, I didn't eat dinner.

Mr Alderman's eyes lit up in rage. Hearth saw his saying 'You walked in the dead of night and ate from the kitchen. You thought I wouldn't notice did you? DID YOU?!'

Hearth recoiled, knowing what was going to happen. His dad raised his hand- No, NO, he ISN'T going through THIS during the one time he felt truly happy-

***

Blitzen stared into his eyes, a tiny, almost unnoticeable, crease of doubt formed on his forehead. Hearth raised his hands about to sign. Then his eyesight went blank again.

***

Mr Alderman shouted at Inge and raised a long leather whip, she winced, dropping her everything is fine attitude. His dad landed a blow on her shoulder and Hearthstone watched her fall to the floor gasping, fumbling at the fabric on her clothes next to the wound, trying to get it off.

Alderman lifted his hand again, but 15 year-old Hearth couldn't take anymore, more like he wouldn't. He ran in front of the whip and felt sharp short pain whip across his face, he gasped, blinking away tears he caught blurred words from his father, Stupid, worthless, you dare?, disgrace to my name. The usual.

His father tried to hit him again but his conscience fought back, images from his past flicked in and out of sight.

***

His father starving him on his 16th.

***

His mother trying to stand up to his dad, resulting in more harsh abuse than she had ever experienced.

***

Running away swearing he would never come back.

***

Coming back to save Blitz.

***

A more recent one. His father- no- the dragon coming over to him, snapping his mouth saying unspeakable things to him, and Blitzen running forward and spreading his arms wide trying to hide Hearthstone away from his scrutiny. Blitzen shouting at him, the dragon backing away. Blitzen- wait, BLITZEN! Hearth tore himself away from his past, freeing himself.

***

He looked at Blitzen and lifted his hands up high, so everyone could see, and signed.

I do.

And so. A new chapter began.
