MOTHER

They say a mother is God in the eyes of a child

And to me you were a cruel and angry God

To me you were something to fear if ever angered

And to you I was nothing but a hindrance

To you I was a lowley worshiper unworthy of your presence

To you I could do no good

To you I was replaceable

And when my faith in you became no more, you lost all your power

You were no longer a God, no longer my mother

You were just a person

A cruel, angry, and unfair person who could only blame an innocent child for your misfortunes

To me you will never be a God again

And you will be even less than a mother.
