chapter 3

Mishti's POV

Thank God !! I finally reached home . It was a hectic day ! When I entered inside the house , I was greeted by my parent's angry look .
Opsie ! I am soo gone now !

" Naitik , apni beti ko kaho ki ek baar time dekhle zara " my mom said to my dad , indirectly taunting me .

" Maa sorry naa . Kaam tha isliye late ho gyi" I apologised to maa .

" bache itni der tak bahar ? Vo bhi hame bina bataye ? Atleast ek baar inform to kr deti naa"

" Vo mumma aapko Mrs. Sharma yaad hai ? Manoj jail se bahar aa gya hai aur usne unpr mental harassment ka case kiya hai . To unhi me paas thi . Saanvi bhi bohot dari hui thi "

" Aree ! Ye kaise hua ? You made sure ki vo insaan 4 saal se pehle jail se bahar naa aaye fir achanak se kya hua ? "

" Mumma this time he has the support of one of the strongest lawyer of India " I said to maa .

After that me and maa talked for a few more minutes.  When I stood to go upstairs,  maa gave me a letter .

" ye le . Aaj tere peeche se aaya tha " maa said while giving the letter to me .

I opened the letter and it was the invitation for the INDIA FORUMS SUMMIT , 2024 . Ohh God !I literally forgot about it . The due date and time of the event was tomorrow 8:00 p.m . Huh ! Careless me ....
I took the letter and headed back towards my room . I changed into my casuals and sat on the couch with my laptop .

Should I do it ? Nahi nhi acha thodi hi naa lagta hai ? But wait ! Usse thoda pta chal rha hai kuch .

I opened Google and searched ' Reyansh Jindal

The Google too was praising him alot . He was addressed as ' The Most wanted Bachelor '  , ' most wanted damad ' , ' Mr. Prefectionist ' etc etc...

Then my eyes fell on a recently updated article about him .

I opened the article and the headline itself made my heart shrinked in pain .

" Reyansh Jindal , the most common name in the field of law decides to fight for the rights of Manoj Sharma . "

After seeing all this a sad smile appeared on my face .

There was a time when u strictly hated lies . And now , you are supporting a lier

" kitna badal gye ho tum . But aaj bhi mujhe iss nye Reyansh me uss purane Reyansh ki jhalak dekhti hai . "

Unknowing a sad smile crept on my face and I got lost in the flashback .

Flashback
Around 12 years ago

" yrrr mujhe nhi pasand vo biology wali mam . Puri nashedi lagti hai yrr " I said to my friend .

" But tu kyu chinta kr rhi hai ? Aaj to exhibition hai and 4th period me to tujhe aur Reyansh ko auditorium jaana hai naa . After all tum dono head boy aur head girl ho " My friend Siya said .

" huh! Chalo head girl hone ka kuch to fayada hua " I replied

" yrr vaise ek baat kahu , teri aur Reyansh ki chemistry dekhti hai yrr. Mtlb assembly me jab tum dono saath khade hote ho to kya mast lagte ho yrrr " Siya said , making me blush .

" shut up ! Kuch nahi hai aisa . Aur chemistry ka to pta nhi pr agar ab tune ek aur baar yahi bakwas ki naa mai tere chehre ki geography bigad dungi " I said , slapping Siya's head .

Flashback ends

I smiled remember all those moments and after some time , deep sleep took over me .

Reyansh's POV

I entered my house and was greeted with my mom's cold look .

" Good evening maa " I said

" evening ? Raat ke 9 baj rhe hai . Kaha tha tu ? " my mom again  started with her questions. 

" maa kaam tha " I said and was about to go inside my room but suddenly she stopped me .

" ye le , tera ye letter aya tha " my mom said passing me the letter . I took it and headed inside my room.  Huh ! The black theme of my room makes me feel the peace . I settled down on the couch and opened the letter . It was the invitation of INDIAN FORUMS SUMMIT 2024 . The due date and time was tomorrow 8 pm . I did not wanted to attend this function at all but for me , my image is everything.

I kept the letter aside and closed my eyes to relax a bit but Sharma's words  were not ready to leave my mind . I took my phone and Google about the lady whose prases I heard today .

"Mishti Verma " I typed . 

" One of the youngest lawyers in India. Best known for fighting the cases for women's rights ." I read .

" I'm never interested to stalk a girl but when it comes to my profession , I leave no stones unturned. It is important to know about the strength and weakness of your enemy before you face them . 
So ms . Mishti Verma , get ready!
