"𝑨𝑯𝑶𝒀" 𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑻𝑶𝑹 𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑬𝑻𝑬𝑫 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑮 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑷𝑳𝑬, the brunette laid back on the seats beside Strand as Nick leant against the boat facing him. Cassandra Swung her dangling legs back and forth as she listened to the sound of the ocean - dispite everything she was oddly calm

"I think you should have stopped." Nick spoke as he tapped his fingers on the metal behind him, a noise that distracted Cass from her peace

She knew Nick's heart was in the right place. Helping people and she wanted to help them to but she knew it would be a liability. There not really in a position to help people, even though they we're kinda Lucky compared to most people from what Cass could tell. Even though they haven't really come across many other survives

But considering she was laying on a million dollar yacht - she would say she was doing pretty well at the end of the world

The boat she was sitting on could have been hers in a few years. Once she got her law degree but she starting realise all the pressure and stress her father put on her, that she put on herself was for nothing and she was right for sticking by Nick because if she didn't she wouldn't be here - he was good for this world. Made for it.

"We had this conversation in the pens" Strand replied, making Cassandra frown she still didn't know what they talked about with there time alone "was I not clear?"

"This was different"

Survival of the fittest it was spoke about in the bible but it was true. And that was the world they were living in but it contradicted gods words about all living things - God was a hypocrite, just like her father.
Though the way she was raised, was so deeply woven into Cass she feared the consequences of what she will have to do, what she's already done and the thought's she's had

"I'm sorry you feel that way."

Nick turned away from Strand, taking a cigarette out of his pocket and sticking it in his mouth as he faced the ocean. Cassandra sighed seeing it sticking it out of his mouth, better then a needle, she thought.

"So, what if San Diego doesn't work?" He asked

"I don't know. The whole world is I don't know right now" Strand said "you should be used to that"

"Difference between then and now, Nick always knew he could come back. None of us can go back now" Cassandra spoke for the first time, leaving both Strand and Nick staring at her. Her words sinking into Nick and Strand well he was figuring out just how smart she was, how good with words and getting into people's heads she was and he liked it
