Strand crept into their room quietly, taking a moment to glance at how peaceful they we're knowing he was about to ruin it

"Nick?" Strand called "Nick?"

Nick started to stir at first thinking he was sleeping, pulling Cassandra closer and snuggling back into her shoulder

"Nick" Strand raised his voice, now Nick knew he wasn't dreaming, mumbling under his breath cursing Strand. He raised his head his eyes still sealed closed from how tired he was

"Go away" he mumbled "what do you want?" Playing with the end of Cassandra's shirt...well his shirt. As he rubbed his eyes with his other hand the movement waking Cassandra but she chose to pretend to sleep, not wanting to be involved in whatever Strand was planning. She just wanted to sleep, she shuffled closer to Nick, taking ahold of his arm and pulling it back around her, making him smirk lazily

"I need your help" Strand said, his hand resting on the door knob as he leant against the door frame

"And you need my help in the middle of the night" Nick asked "That don't sound sketchy at all. Whatever it is it can wait till morning"

"It can't. It, is what's gonna keep your family alive and assure we make it to our destination"

Nick glanced down at the brunette next to him, he couldn't leave her. He left so many times. He knew nothing could really happen to her on a boat. But he still didn't want to leave her - every chance he had to be with her in this world he had to take it

"I can't-I can't leave her. I left her so many times. I don't want to do that anymore. Having her with me, being with her constantly made me realise how much I missed her" Nick ran his hand through her hair as he spoke "how much I need her."

Cassandra felt her heart melt at his words and she couldn't help the grin that made it's way onto her face which told Nick that she was awake but he didn't snitch on her

Strand sighed looking at them both
"If I remember correctly I told you back in the cages that I could use someone with your skills. That is why you are on this boat, why your girlfriend can sleep soundly, so please indulge me and at least hear what I have to ask of you" with his tone of voice both Nick and Cassandra could tell how wound up he was getting and how serious he was. And right now neither of them wanted to take a chance considering he sent the stranger's floating in the ocean. He cut the line and left them stranded. Both of them knew Strand was out for his own, he had secrets no one knew. Agenda's no one knew off. You only knew when he wanted you to know. But Cassandra didn't think he was a murder not until he sentenced those people to there death but he did it the cowardly way
