"How does this look?" Liv asked, hands on her waist.

I sized her from head to toe and shrugged. "I liked the other dress better."

She groaned, "I've tried on at least a dozen dresses. Which one are you talking about?"

"The red one. Now, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd move from in front of the television."

Sighing, she crossed her arms over her chest and stomped back into her room. Moments later, she returned in the dress I suggested with a bright smile.

"I think we have a winner," She beamed, smoothing it over her body.

I rolled my eyes and simply nodded.

Jonathan was taking her out to a fancy event some large company was having tonight and the girl was ecstatic. It's not like it's the first time she's seen him in the six months since they arranged this friendship of theirs. The two idiots practically see each other every single day.

Truthfully, I don't know why they just won't get back together. Not only do they spend more than five hours every day together, but she sleeps over his house at least twice a week.

I've suggested that she just move back in with his ass, but she always gives me some bullshit answer about them being just friends and how that'd be inappropriate.

Personally, I think he's been hitting it for the past six months and she's just too afraid to tell me. But hey, what did I know?

A loud knock on the door tore me out of my thoughts and sent Liv running towards the back of my condo with a squeal.

I leaned back on the couch and pushed a handful of popcorn into my mouth. Not even a moment later, there was another loud knock on the door.

"Mia, why didn't you open the door?" Liv exclaimed, emerging from the back with black platforms in her hand.

"You weren't ready and I don't want him standing in my house."

She shot me a glare before swinging the door open, revealing the six-foot-tall love of her life. He was dressed in a black suit and his hair was slicked back, not even a strand out of place. They exchanged greetings before he bent down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, boss!" I smiled with a wave.

He glanced up from Liv's face to look at me. "You wouldn't even open the door for me, but you want to say hello?"

I shrugged. "I have a job I'd like to keep."

He rolled his eyes and looked back down at Liv. "You ready to go?"

She nodded and they began making their way out the door.

"Hey! Make sure you bring her ass right back here before midnight!" I called as the door was about to shut.

"It's Friday, which means I don't have to work tomorrow. So I'll be sleeping at Johnny's tonight Mom."

"Wait, it's Friday? Don't you have to babysit that little rich white girl tonight?"

Liv swore a string of profanities loudly. "I completely forgot."

I snickered. "Looks like you're not going anywhere tonight."

"Well, I vaguely remember a favor that a certain somebody owes me," She smirked suggestively.

I groaned internally. "Um, I don't recall."

"Oh really?" She quirked her eyebrow, "You don't recall waking me up in the middle of the night to make a trip to the drug store for some co-"

"Fine! I'll babysit the brat for you!" I exclaimed, cutting off the end of her sentence.
