A car stopped nearby a streetlight. The door swings open to a light coral haired lady and a blonde hair man reluctantly getting the car."You two could've been caught." A figure with magenta eyes and white hair was sitting on the far left of the car. Hidden by the darkness. They were protectively holding a wedding cake. "So what? We were just exploring the city?" The coral haired lady says while angrily putting on her seatbelt in the middle. She crosses her arms and pouts. The blonde haired man closed the car door behind him and lazily putting his seatbelt on. He then looked out the window, resting his face on his palm. A low and annoyed grummble can be heard from the white haired figure."You were supposed to stay in the car." Their voice distorted. They handed the cake to one of the assistants, not wanting to mutilate a mission requirement. The blonde man scoffed and turns over to the other."We didn't want to stay near that rundown bakery. Either way, there wasn't anyone nearby the damn place to be a witness. Why couldn't we just terminate him right there?" He sneered out. The pink lady also chimed in."It's also my last night of freedom! I should get to do what I want for a night!" She glares at the white haired one before switching over to the wedding cake. "I'm not letting your incompentence and selfishness fuck up our simplest task." The white haired figure, basically gurgling, yells loudly and distorts in to something unhuman, their size growing to the point their side of the car couldn't contain them. The assistants try to ignore the argument, while the other two sat unbothered. A flash of light filled the car for a second as the white haired guy screeches in pain. He shrinks back into his normal size and falls foward into the drivers backseat. The pink lady's expression changes. All sat in silence, until the lady spoke up."It's not fair, damn it." The pink lady says, unbelting herself and floating to the back seat of the car. The blonde man just sighs and looks out the window."...I know."╰── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╯Mephone wakes up his internal call ringing loudly. He hasn't realized that he 'objected' in his sleep. He pushes off the now heavy and large blanket, and looks at who has been calling him. It was an unknown number. Yet, along with the calls there was a new message that was sent around 2 AM. Mephone frog blinks, before stretching and going back into a 'human' form. He grabs his actual phone and looks at the message, 'Greetings, MePhone4. It's been a while. I see that your buisness, "BluLite Bakiry", has been a success as of this year. I was hoping we could meet up and discuss how life has been, perhaps.' The next message was an adress, to a local restruant. Mephone yawns and throws his phone somewhere to get ready for work. After a nice bath and a burnt omlette, he takes in the new decorations he set up. His house didn't look as lonely now. He smiles and realizes that he needs more groceries soon. Especially with the guests coming over. Speaking of which, he never recalled them mentioning when they'd arrive. He looked at the group chat to see only the convention and concert days. He didn't even get to type in his question before there was a knock at his door. Multiple knocks. Mephone cautiously opens the door to see a a tired Paintbrush, probably at their limit, and the rest of the group either on their shoulders or hugging their legs. He peeked out the hallway and saw Testtube and Bot struggling to get the baggage cart over a carpet bump. The shoulder and leg passangers let go and humanify, greeting Mephone and going off to help Testtube and Bot with the luggage. Mephone taps his fingers on the door and looks back over to Paintbrush."Um... morning?" Mephone sheepishly mumbles. He steps out of the way as Paintbrush tiredly stumbles into the apartment and drops onto the couch, groaning as an annoying squeak fills thier ears."Elevator stopped working." Bot passes by, "Bot and I got lucky to make it up here with the luggage," Testtube follows, handing Mephone a bag. "We thought you might like it." Testtube smiles before going back to help the others. Mephone opens up the bag and pulls out a red blanket, inside its folds, a "world's best" boss or dad mug. The mug had a sticker with "host" written over it, and the background had images of cookies. Bot steps over quietly and hugs Mephone tightly. Mephone's slightly flinches, looking down beside him. He smiles and gently pats Bot's head. They does that one little squee noise, "Oh, wait did you check inside the mug?" They stretched their legs up to see of the inside contents were out. "There's something inside?" Mephone tilts the mug and sees a paper. He tugs it out of the mug and flips it over.It was a picture of everyone at the hotel. It was taken on his birthday. Mephone and the people beside him weren't focused on the camera. He doesn't even remember someone taking pictures of his party. He remembers being more focused on the birthday cake. Mephone smiles and lets out a soft chuckle, it was his first ever birthday cake and party. To think he was about to become a victim to a cake smash right after this picture was taken. The perpetrator being none other than... him. Mephone smile quickly wiped off. Guilt overrunning his mind. Bot managed to catch this, quickly looking for a way to change the mood. "I- uh- I think I brought a picture frame for this." They scrambled as they checked the red blanket, unfolding it further to reveal a decorated picture frame. Mephone hands the picture to Bot, who tucks it into the protection of the frame. "I'll just put it by the uhh... how about next to this TV?" They hum and look over to Mephone. He had a somber expression, but he pulled a smile for them. "Thanks, Bot." He mumbles out, kneeling down a little to give the smaller robot a hug. They smile and gently pats his back in comfort. "Mephone, the fuck did you choose to live on the fifth floor?!" Paintbrush interrupts, turning their head toward the android. -Though, what would be the Iph-Mephone version of an android?- Mephone just shrugs nervously, getting up as the others set their luggage in a corner of a room. "Thanks again for letting us crash here, Mephone." Testtube sighs out as she holds an arm out. "Uh, yeah. 'Course." Mephone hums and awkwadly hugs Testtube. Testtube chuckles at the awkward embrace but gently rubs Mephone's back before letting go. "We'll make sure they don't burn the place down. Do you need a ride to work? Bot and I, mainly Bot, wanted to go explore the city." Bot skips over and stretches over Mephone, hooking themselves around his shoulders. "Yeah, sure why not." He chuckles, securing his passenger before grabbing his bag, and taking Bot on a piggy back ride to the elevator. He tries to press the call button, but, "Thing's broken, remember?" Bot giggles. "Right." MePhone groans before following Testtube, who caught up to them after putting Paintbrush in charge, to the stairs. It's honestly nice knowing that the descent down the stairs is much nicer than climbing. When they reached the ground floor, the three look over to their right and see that the elevator already have repair men working on it. "At least you won't have to use the stairs when you get back." Testtube snickers, the three leaving the building and getting in a minivan. Bot smacks their face into the window and looks out at the scenery. Pretty lights everywhere. Christmas decorations. They kick their feet in excitement. Mephone looks back from his seat, smiling at Bots excitement of a new place.Eventually, they make it to the bakery. All of them stepped out of the minivan and unlocked the front door. Bot looked around the place, noticing framed pictures of all three season finales. They sat at a bar stool as Mephone opens up the kitchen area. He brings out last night leftovers and places them on a display poorly labeled "grab n go" "That's an interesting business choice." Testtube remarks and she leans over the counter. "Well, I didn't exactly feel comfortable selling left overs for the same price as fresh goods," He explained himself, "What am I? A scammer?" He retorted. Both Testtube and Bot look at him with different, yet, familiar expressions of 'you sure about that', one more amused than the other. "...Rhetorical question." He concluded while scittering away into the kitchen. Testtube sighed in slight amusement before looking over to Bot."I guess we should get going. Mephone has work to do." Bot looked over in a sadish and shocked expression and looked over at kitchen doors. "I- I dont wanna go yet!" They looked at Testtube with desperation in their eyes. "Can I please stay here? I can help him out!" Testtube was slightly unsurprised by this. "I thought you wanted to explore the city?" She recalled. "Either way, he can't really let you help without doing the entire process of having to hire and pay you" Testube concluded, Bot looking at the counter somberly. "Fine... can I at least say goodbye first?" Testtube nodded, and Bot hopped off the bar stool and stepped over the counter. They made their way into the kitchen, bashing the doors open. They run into Mephone's legs and give him a quick hug, before running out of the kitchen. "Bye Mephone! Oh, and don't overwork yourself!!" They chirped out, Testtube was waving goodbye across the lobby. Mephone was barely able to wave back before the kitchen doors closed on him.Yet, again. He was alone. He could hear the bell of the entrance door hit as it closed again. He dropped his hand and looked back at the task he was doing. He was mixing 7 different batters. He looked over at the kitchen door again before deciding to continue his work. He realized that it was surprisingly early. He doesn't know where exactly those goobers get their energy from. Of course, Bot is a robot like him, they don't really get tired unless their... well whatever powers them starts running low. Testtube, well Mephone thinks it has to do with the unhealthy amount of caffeine that gal takes in a day. Lightbulb has to run on some ethereal power source. Fan is usually more active in the evening to witching hour. Paintbrush is just barely getting by. Yin-Yang... probably started switching out sleep cycles; Yin taking nights off, Yang taking afternoons off... He's going off track again, isn't he?Though, he does wonder, how did they get to the mainland that fast? It took him 5 hours to fly to the mainlands, 3 weeks to actually fully move into his apartment. He swears they run on some dark magic. He hums away the thoughts and continues to mix all 7 bowls and pour them into trays to bake. He separates all trays in separate ovens, depending if they had nuts or gluten. However, he never really figured out what gluten is. He just found a chart online with what gluten free grains are and are not, and started using it. He heads towards the back of the kitchen, unlocking the backdoor. He takes a quick peak outside and looks for the dog and its puppies. It seems that the puppies were still asleep inside of the blanket. The mom dog is missing. Mephone opens the door fully and thinks. He subconsciously generates a dog house and it clunks down the steps, startling the sleeping pups. They all start barking and the bigger few start running towards Mephone. He yelps and quickly shuts the door. He pushed himself to the wall and slowly collected himself. Was he really about to let puppies scare him of all things? He gets up and reopens the back door. The puppies resume their barking but don't step any closer to Mephone. He hesitantly takes a step forward himself, nerve's relaxing as the puppies back away a bit. Mephone sighs as he remembers that the puppies are just as scared of him, as he is of them. He cautiously picks up the doghouse and shuffles a bit away from the door. The puppy's barks died down behind him. He sets it down and generates a few more blankets inside of the doghouse. He looks over at the puppies, seeing the mother dog returned. He slightly squeaked and backed up from the litter. Almost tripping on the doghouse. The dog limps over to the doghouse, sniffing the inside before pushing the puppies inside. Mephone shakingly makes his way back to the door, actually tripping on the steps this time. He grunts as his elbows hit the concrete pretty badly. The dog and a few pups go towards him. "No no no nono! Back!" Mephone gasps out. The dog continues to limp towards him. Mephone freezes as the dog inspects the grazed marks on him. The dog then looks up at Mephone, realizing that his breathing has picked up immensely. The dog backs away and continues pushing the puppies into the little house. Mephone would've probably passed out by then, but his breathing slowed. He quickly grabs onto the steps loose railing and goes back inside the bakery. He closes the door and locks it, wincing as the movement feels uncomfortable to his injuries. He folded his arms up and looked at the marks himself. A sharp sting overwhelmed his arms and he quickly relaxed his arms back down. Mephone goes towards one of his cabinets and carefully takes out a 'medkit', if you can even call it that. He takes out a disinfectant, and pours a bit on a gauze pad. He braces himself and he lifts his left arm. He quickly pats the injured area, and just as quickly takes a breather. He grabs a decently sized bandage from the box and slaps it over the now cleanish area. He repeats the process on the other side and pushes the medkit back to its original spot. He closes the shelf and reste his arms on the counter. He looks over to the ovens and grumbles. He pushes himself off the counter and goes into the lobby. There were only 2 people at the booths, one munching on a jelly filled donut and typing away on a laptop. The other, however, was a familiar face.
