I scrolled through Instagram, finding endless @ mentions from my followers. It was usually when Jude Bellingham would post. I'm not sure what they expect me to say or do, but this is getting ridiculous. What's worse is that Maya is encouraging and feeding into their delusions.
I stumbled upon a very recent post about Jude being in a club. It looked very similar to the club I was at. Surely that guy I met wasn't him, right? Fuuuuuuuck. They both had the same brum accent as well. AND his name was Jude.
Tall, dark, and handsome definitely fits his description. First impression and I completely screwed it all over. Maybe there's some hope that he doesn't suspect that it's me.
I still need to question Maya about what Trent was talking to me about on the phone. Why the hell is she telling everyone about my business? We've already had a fight over this before. I don't like talking about my family situation.
Speaking of which, I've yet to call back my mother. She called me four days ago and I'm sure I know what it's about. Now and then she usually rings my phone when she gets drunk. My little brother refuses to interact with her when she's in that state of mind. I just wish they didn't rely on me so much to fix their shit. I'd check my voicemails, re-listening to my mother's one.
"Hey honey, I know it's been a minute since I last spoke with you. I just wanted to call and tell you that Thanksgiving is approaching. I want you to have dinner with the rest of the family. I'm not asking this time, so please show up for once."

My jaw dropped at the audacity in her tone. "Damn." I scoffed. Who the hell does she think she is? The reason I missed last Thanksgiving is because she threw a beer bottle at me during the Fourth of July. She never apologized to me for that either. I text Maya, sending her the voicemail.
