'Tay, come here! Quickly!'

Taylor hears Travis' shout, quickly throwing on her cover up that was in her hands and running outside, the last place she had seen Travis, as he headed out towards the pool with Matilda in his arms.

Her heart is racing, scared something is wrong, but it immediately melts when she takes in the scene - Travis and Matilda in the pool; the toddler wearing her floaties, kicking her feet as she floats on her tummy, Travis' arms outstretched towards her.

'Look Tay, we have a little mermaid over here. She's doing it herself!', Travis grins, proudly, scooping Matilda close to his chest when she reaches him.

'I see that. Well done baby girl! You're so smart, aren't you?', Taylor praises her, leaning down at the side of the pool.

'You going to join us, pretty lady?', Travis sweetly asks, his eyebrows raising over the rim of his sunglasses.

'You're so smooth, Trav', she laughs, pulling the light linen shirt over her head, revealing her blue bikini, before slipping into the water beside them.

'Mommy, me swimming!', Matilda tells her with glee, clapping her hands as Taylor kisses her forehead.

They spend the early afternoon lounging around the pool and enjoying the Singapore summer, before Taylor has to call time on the fun to get ready for her fifth show in the National Stadium.

Ross, Andre, Aaron, Harry and Amanda had travelled over with Travis yesterday, and they were meeting them there, as they were staying in a different hotel. Taylor headed over slightly earlier than the others, so Travis left with Matilda, carrying her upstairs in the stadium to their allotted suite.

Matilda wasn't a shy child: she usually took to anyone who smiled or showed an interest, but tonight as the group stood at the bar area in the suite, she clung to Travis as if she'd never met them before. She actually really loved them, especially Amanda, who had taken to bringing extra chocolate buttons in her purse just for Tilly, when she knew she was going to be around.

Travis had walked in with her in his arms, and now as he tried to get a drink he attempted to put her on the floor beside him, but was met with little legs stubbornly wrapping around his middle, little hands gripping his white shirt.

'No daddy, uppy', Matilda protests, and Travis tries again, only for the toddler's bottom lip to tremble.

'Okay, Tilly, it's okay. I'll hold you. Aaron, can you grab me a water?'

They head to the seats outside the suite to watch the start of the show, and Travis digs in Matilda's diaper bag for her sparkly pink ear defenders, placing them gently over her curls. She seems happy at the beginning, pointing and waving to mommy, giggling as Travis dances with her in his arms.

But as the night wears on she starts to fuss, pulling at her ear defenders so much Travis gives in and takes them off. She's rubbing her eyes a lot, too, sniffling a little into his shirt, and they make it to the acoustic set before Travis comes to the conclusion that she's sick.

He brings her back into the air conditioning to have a break from the humidity and it seems to help a little, and he reaches for her teddy bear which she gladly accepts, her pacifier now in her mouth. He paces the floor, back and forth, holding her securely against his chest, hoping against hope that she'd give in to sleep and the rest would make her feel better.

She fights him, though, and wriggles in his arms, rubbing her eyes and ears and crying throughout, alternating between a quiet sob to a full-blown scream. The security team tell him it's time to head down to meet Taylor after the show, and they troop backstage, Matilda clinging even more tightly to him.
