'Shit!', Taylor exclaims, looking down at her phone as she reads the message she had just received.
'What's up, baby?', Travis asks, concerned, sitting at the kitchen table with Mia by his side, both eating cereal.
'Hannah's sick, she's caught a vomiting bug from her little brother, and I have to go into the studio today, Jack flies to London tomorrow. Guess I'll bring Matilda with me', she sighs, running a hand over her face, brain already running a million miles ahead of where they are now.
Travis laughs, and she shoots him a look, not fathoming what on earth he could find funny right now. 'Tay, baby, I'll look after her', he says, a smirk on his face.
'Trav, you have meetings today, Jason flew in for them, you can't...'
She's cut off by Travis walking towards her, snaking his arms around her waist. 'Tay, I can. There's only one meeting today, and it's on Zoom. It can easily be moved to tomorrow. Jason will understand, and I want to. I know you're so used to doing it on your own, but you don't have to now baby. I'm here. I'll look after her. You want to spend the day with daddy, Tilly?', he calls over to the little girl, who nods her head in response.
Taylor laughs against his chest, wrapping her own arms around him. 'Thanks, Trav. I guess you're right, I'm used to doing it by myself. I just didn't think. Of course she'll want to spend the day with her daddy'.
Travis kisses her then, deepening it by swiping his tongue along her bottom lip, hands roaming further underneath her pyjama top, before they're interrupted by a crash, looking back to see Matilda's cereal bowl on the floor, Benji covered in cheerios and milk. 'Oops', she giggles, pointing to the annoyed cat, and both Taylor and Travis can't help but laugh.
'Guess that's what we deserve for getting so distracted', Taylor giggles against him, before pushing him off her and grabbing a cloth to clean up the mess Matilda had made for them.
An hour later, Taylor is kissing them both goodbye, Travis and Matilda curled up in their bed, having gotten back in while they watched Taylor get ready and then decided to watch a movie together, Matilda laying across Travis' chest.
'Have a good day you two, I'll be home tonight for dinner. I love you', Taylor calls out, before she closes the bedroom door, leaving them both alone. 'Okay girly, we'll finish watching Frozen, then what do you want to do?', he asks the two year old currently sprawled out on the bed.
'Park daddy!', she replies, a smile appearing on her face, and Travis already knows he's going to agree to whatever she says. She has him totally wrapped around her little finger- and he wouldn't have it any other way.
'Okay baby girl, we can go to the park. And then maybe some lunch? We have to get dressed first though'.
'Okay daddy', she agrees, rolling over onto Taylor's side of the bed. Seeing there's at least fifteen minutes left of her movie, Travis leaves her there to get changed himself, hopping quickly in the shower and getting dressed in record time, impressing himself with his speed. When he walks back into the room Matilda is in exactly the same spot, hugging Taylor's pillow.
'Okay girly, let's go get dressed', he tells her, picking her up before switching off the TV, much to her dislike. Travis chuckles, shifting her up higher in his hands until she's hanging over his shoulder, making her laugh. 'That'll teach you for choosing Elsa over me!', he says as he tickles her tummy, setting her down on the floor of her bedroom.
'Okay, let's choose what you're going to wear', he says, mostly to himself, opening up the closet on the far side of the room. Taylor usually dressed her, or at least left out an outfit for Travis to dress her in, so today was the first day he was flying totally solo. The sheer number of dresses, sparkles and bows should have intimidated him, but he searched through until he found what he was looking for.
