"Aspen!!" Jade cried out in joy as hugged the man tightly. "You look so much better than the last time I saw you."
Aspen's green hair was now shoulder-length and the sickly pale skin she last saw when he been resting on the bed was now have a hint of color. It still needs more meat on his bones, but it was better than looking like a skeleton.
"Yeah, sorry about that," Aspen said, his joyful expression swiftly turned into one of remorse. "I bet seeing me unconscious was an uncomfortable sight."
"Uncomfortably!? How about scary or traumatic!!" Jade snapped at him punching Aspen's in the chest. Aspen laughed at Jade's weak hits but allow her to show her frustration without problem.
"Who the hell is he?"
"He is a dear friend of Jade," Yuma answered Alan's question, feeling content with the fact that the man that Jade and the women was consistently worried about is now up and moving around on his own. "It is nice to see him up, I always wanted to meet him."
"Jade is with him too?" Alan could not help but asked, feeling envious at how close Aspen and Jade are.
"No, they are just friends." Yuma finding the idea of a man that he heard stories about from Maria and Jade getting together with her. Yuma was about to say something else but tensed up when Aspen's glared at their direction. Aspen lowers his voice while talking to Jade again, never once had his eyes wavered away from them. Aspen straightens up and began to make his way towards them with a serious look.
"I am guessing from the fact that you are not acting like the other men that you are Jade's husbands?" Aspen scanned each man, frowning. Diego looked over his shoulder to see Jake and the other guys being surrounded by six women who decided to conversate with them.
"Yeah, my name is Diego and he-" Diego wrapped his arm around Yuma's shoulders and dragged him in front of him. "Is the head of our little group, Yuma. He is nice man who happen been here for a while now and the guy glaring at you is Alan. He is more .... temperamental."
"I heard that you visit me with Jade while I was in a coma," Aspen said, holding out his hand for Yuma to shake. "It is nice to meet you."
"Um," Yuma look the friendly expression and felt more at eased. "It is nice to meet you too, I always admired you in the part you played in keeping the others safe during both the end of your world and here."
Aspen's grip on his hand tightens, not enough to break but enough to cause him discomfort. His friendly demeanor turned one of anger causing Diego and Alan to be in alert.
"I just want to tell you that if you harm Jade and her child in any shape or form then I will shred you in so many pieces that not even your friends will be able to find the remains." Aspen warned him coldly before looking over at the other two. "This warning goes for you two. She is a person close to me and deserve happiness."
