I have lost a lot, but somehow losing you hurt the most

I picked his favourite flowers. The meadow was filled with vibrant colours. The yellow circle of burgeon reflected on the body of water. The fluffy clouds stood still watching us.As the sun gleamed in his eyes as we walked through the tall, dry grass. He smiled as he said to me

He paved our way by placing his foot on the dead yellow sticks we had just encountered.

"Be careful not to stand on the bugs"

Caleb said

I laughed as his blue eyes lit up the dry Spanish grass.Crunch.The sun rose high on the hill.I was about to climb.

"Well, you know, it is kind of hard for me to see them; I don't have my glasses on"

I climbed over the light green ,mossy ground. The light grey darkened my shoes under the umbrella of wood.

As we walked up the small hill, I suddenly tripped.

"Ouch, "I said before bursting out with laughter whilst on the ground.

He chuckled

"You can never be careful, can you"

He pulled out his arm to pull me up from the pile of dead leaves.

The sun was setting, and the stars were almost visible.

For a moment, it was just the two of us.I placed my head on a rock.We lay on our backs on the ground and watched the sun go to sleep. The stars were beautifully shining as we laughed and talked.I cuddled under his jumper. His jumper had two black stripes on his sleeves.

He asked

"Do you ever wonder if the stars shine for the people of the world? Without any actual; scientific reasoning behind them"

I chuckled "I don't know maybe they do, I don't pay attention to our science teacher"

He laughed, "Neither do I."

"I prefer art or media to science"

I quickly said, "Same, but Aye I quite like chemistry or biology, but honestly school is a bit of

a pain in the arse"

"Aye, It is. I mean, is it a requirement to set so much homework" He said

"Yup, our teachers must think it's legally required to give their students 600-word essays weekly and still expect us to study and wonder why we miss assignments. We can't do the fucking homework because we have no time"

Thank god we are here on holiday, not back in Norway.Caleb quickly responded.

"Aye, sometimes I wonder why my parents moved out of Scotland to live there"

I said.Caleb paused for a second then said jokingly

"Maybe to get hypothermia.I'm joking. They just wanted to live there,Its different for my family though my dad's Norwegian himself"

He chortled

"But like why are our families actually living in the town of Vingar and what sort of name is Vingar I don't even know what the name of the town means"

I felt my cheeks raise,I smiled and told him that

"Vingar means wings, Caleb,It's probably a good idea for you to try to keep yourself awake in Norwegian. No matter how boring the teacher is"

I chuckled softly

"Aye,Well in a mainly English-speaking household and school you don't really need to know the language very well,I can say basic words and phrases.Mainly swear, but It's better than not being able to say anything. Anyway, we need to be up early tomorrow because we fly back tomorrow. So we can't drink too much"
