Veronica's pov.

(5 years old)

"Vee hand me my eye shadows and makeup brush.
Can you move faster?
Are you carrying a back pack filled with stones?"

Said my step mother Erine Bishops.

The biggest headache of my life.

I took the make up kits and took them to her.

The old bat purposely tripped me as soon as I was Infront of her.

I Fell on the make up that was made from stone.

The stone hit my head and I passed out.

"Veron! Wake up! Do you hear me?
Open your eyes baby girl!"

My father shook me awake and I woke up extremely angry.

"Erine! Why did you extend your leg and trip me?
You think I didn't see you?
When I saw you from afar your legs were under your seat.
Than when I brought the makeup like you asked, you trip me.
Is it because I'm not your real child?"

I asked, infuriated and I tried to get up to settle scores with her.

But my head was spinning and the room looked like it's moving.

Everything went black.

Next I know, I have a tube sticking out of my arm in a cold room.

Wearing the ugliest gown I've ever seen in my life.

"Doctor, how's my daughter?"

Said daddy sounding concerned.

She took quite the fall but I don't think she suffered serious head injury."

Said the doctor preparing an injection.

"Wow! What is he doing? Mr. Doctor don't kill me please!?!!!!"

I screamed and jerked away, hoping off the bed.

"She's scared, is the injection necessary?"

Asked my father looking at me with pity.

"Unless you want her to constantly complain about a sore head.
And it will be sore for hours.
This injection is a pain killer."

Said the doctor and I return back to my seat.

He should of lead with that, I'm not so stupid to not understand.

"Alright, do what you got to do Mr. Doctor."

I said sitting still and letting the inevitable happen.

The doctor injected me and gave me a colourful lollipop right after.

"This sweet is for smart brave girls like you."

The doctor said smiling at me.

I looked at my father and he nodded, than only did I stretch my hand to take the sweet.

"Thank you Mr. Doctor."

I said smiling and got down from the hospital bed and stood Infront of my dad.

"Did it hurt?"

Asked my father lifting me up and placing me on his lap.

"Not as painful as falling head first on a rock."

I said very bitterly.

"Erine is no longer allow to send you on errends.
If she wants something she can get it her self."

Said my father angrily and I also frowned.

I have a score to settle with the old bat Erine.

She's trying to measure me up like soup water.
