Katsuki stepped through the doorway, his body still quite battered and his spirit weary from the ordeal he had endured. The Midoriya household was just as it always was.

But amidst the chaos of his homecoming, Katsuki's eyes sought out one person in particular—his childhood friend, Izuku Midoriya. Izuku stood in the middle of the room, his eyes wide with shock and concern as he took in the sight of his form.

"K-Kacchan..." Izuku stammered, his voice barely above a whisper as he approached Katsuki, his hands trembling with emotion. "I-I can't believe it's really you. We thought you were... I thought..."

Katsuki's jaw clenched with guilt as he met Izuku's gaze, the weight of his friend's worry bearing down on him like a lead weight. He had put Izuku through so much already, and now, to see the pain and fear etched into his friend's features; it was almost too much to bear.

"Dek– Izuku" Katsuki began, his voice hoarse as he struggled to find the words to express his feelings. "I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you. I..."

But before he could finish, Izuku rushed forward and threw his arms around Katsuki, pulling him into a tight embrace. "You idiot" Izuku whispered, his voice choked with tears. "You scared us half to death! Don't ever do that again, okay?"

Katsuki felt a lump form in his throat as he returned Izuku's embrace, the weight of his friend's forgiveness a balm for his wounded soul. In that moment, surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends, Katsuki knew that he was home at last.

And as he looked into Izuku's eyes, he knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, he would face them with the strength and courage of a true hero, and with the unwavering friendship of those who stood by his side.

Katsuki's moment was interrupted by a sudden, unexpected sensation—a sharp pain radiating from his back. With a bewildered gasp, he stumbled forward, his hand instinctively reaching to the source of the discomfort.

Turning around, Katsuki's eyes widened in disbelief as he beheld the sight before him: Izuku Midoriya, his childhood friend and supposed ally, holding a plastic toy sword with a mischievous grin plastered across his face.

"Izuku, what the hell?!" Katsuki exclaimed, his voice a mix of confusion and indignation as he stared at the plastic sword.

Izuku's grin widened, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he shrugged innocently. "April Fools, Kacchan!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his laughter as he watched Katsuki's incredulous reaction.

Katsuki's jaw dropped in disbelief as he processed the absurdity of the situation. "You stabbed me with a toy sword... for April Fools?" he muttered incredulously, a mixture of annoyance and amusement bubbling up within him.

Izuku nodded eagerly, his laughter ringing out through the room as he struggled to catch his breath. "Yep! Gotcha good, didn't I?" he teased, unable to contain his glee at his friend's bewildered expression.

Despite himself, Katsuki couldn't help but chuckle at the sheer absurdity of it all. Leave it to Izuku to pull off the most ridiculous April Fools' prank imaginable, even in the midst of a tense homecoming.

"Well played, Deku" Katsuki conceded with a grin, pulling the plastic sword from his back and tossing it aside with a theatrical flourish. "But just you wait, I'll get you back tenfold!"

And as the two friends dissolved into laughter, their bond stronger than ever, Katsuki knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, he would definitely have to start planning for his biggest mission first. An epic April Fools prank.
