THE SOUND OF ZUKO'S FIRE was louder than the silence lingering over. I guess it's kind of awkward with the three of us together, especially with Sokka.
I haven't really talked to Sokka one on one since the whole kiss situation and I'm not sure how that's going to go
"Pretty clouds." Sokka says, breaking the ice
"Yeah, fluffy." Zuko says back
Sokka began to whistle, Zuko quickly looks back a bit agitated
"What?" He snaps
Sokka's eyes widen, "what?.. Oh! I didn't say anything."
He looks up at the balloon, "ya know, a friend of mine actually designed these war balloons."
"No kidding." Zuko says back
"Yup! A balloon.. but for war." Sokka explained
"If there's one thing my dads good at is war-." Zuko says as he gives the balloons boiler a bit more fire
I giggled, " got that right."
"Kaila.." Sokka says looking at me deadpanned
"No it's true," Zuko defends, " can't deny it."
"Yeah it seems to run in the family." Sokka remarked
"Hey, hold on." Zuko says offended, " not everyone in my family is like that."
Sokka sighed, " I know, I know. You've changed."
I laughed, " I hope you don't mean your sister."
"I meant my uncle.." Zuko states as he looks down, " he was more of a father to me, and I really let him down."
I had no idea his uncle and Zuko were on bad terms? The many times I've spotted Zuko even when he was a terrible person, he's always had his uncle with him
His uncle must really care about him
"I think your uncle would be proud of you." I affirmed
Sokka added, " leaving your home to come help us? That's hard."
"Wasn't that hard." Zuko said
"Really? You didn't leave behind anyone you cared about?" He questioned
" well I did have a girlfriend.. Mai."
A girlfriend
Oh
"That gloomy girl who sighs a lot?" Sokka asked, finding it hard to believe
Could it have been, the ninja girl?
"Ninja girl?!" I say baffled, Sokka and Zuko turn to me wondering what in the world I was talking about. I quickly slap my hand over my mouth, " oh! That one girl who hangs out with Azula."
