Neuvillette got up from his seat, glancing at the chair which once belonged to Furina, but she was no more. He tried to ignore all the little things he'd have to get used to, and he certainly didn't expect it to be this hard.
He made his way into his office, There was a melusine waiting for him, holding an envelope, and as soon as he was in the room the Melusine just handed him the letter and exited the room before the door closed.
"Huh..? Wait what-" Neuvillette pauses and sighs to himself, locking the door and walking to his chair. He reluctantly opened the letter to check what was inside, and it looked like Wriothesly's handwriting. A smile tugged at the corner of Neuvillette's lips.
'Dear Neuvillette,
I was wondering if you'd like to come over to my place this afternoon. It's quite tiring at work, and I'm sure it's tiring for you too. The traveller gave me some tea from Inazuma, And I'd like to share some with you. Please do come by if you're able to, my dear.
- Wriothesly, xoxo P.s. love you darling!'
He read the letter, and after he finished reading, he set it down. The sweet message that Wriothesly wrote made him slightly happier, but the events that happened in the trial merely a few minutes ago came back to his mind and the smile on his face was soon shattered.
On Wriothesly's side
"Sigewinne? What are you up to?" Wriothesly said, walking into his office. Sigewinne was drawing something on some paper that Wriothesly had given her. "I'm just drawing, Did Monsieur Neuvillette reply yet? I made the tea!" Sigewinne said, she sounded quite proud
Wriothesly laughs lightly and sits down on his chair, he looks over at what Sigewinne was drawing, it seemed like a blue and white swan facing a black and red swan. Wriothesly found it quite adorable, not really think much of it.
"Thanks for making the tea, but Neuvillette hasn't replied yet. And I only just sent half an hour ago, let him think about it" He said, looking through a few papers. Sigewinne nodded, "I'm off to meet that new girl that's coming today" she said, making her way to the door
"What new girl?" Wriothesly said, looking up from the papers to see Sigewinne. "The green girl with bells, she has cute bunnies! I'll be back safe, don't worry" she said, heading out of the door without further explanation. Wriothesly knew who she was talking about and wasn't too worried

Neuvillette made his way to Wriothesly's house after a few hours of receiving the letter. It was maybe around 7 pm when he arrived and knocked on the door, which Wriothesly answered
"Ah! Neuvillette, come in" he said, he seemed quite happy and relieved. Neuvillette walked in, a gentle expression on his face as he took off his shoes. "thank you for inviting me, Wrio" Neuvillette said in response
Wriothesly rushed to his kitchen and grabbed two cups of tea, he lead Neuvillette to the living room and sat down on the sofa beside him. "So, how was work, dear?" Wriothesly asked, taking a sip of his drink
"Horrible. I had to give another person a death sentence and all the people attending were being so loud, and I felt so bad.. I wish I didn't have to be the judge of these things-" he pauses
"sorry.. I- didn't mean to say that.." Neuvillette said, fumbling with his hands as he took a sip of the tea, and setting it down after. Wriothesly smiles "It's okay, I'll listen" he said, Neuvillette moved closer to him.
Wriothesly finished his tea and sets down the cup. "I'm tired.." Neuvillette said, resting his head on Wriothesly's chest. "Well, feel free to sleep then, darling" Wriothesly said, running his hand through Neuvillette's hair.
After a while, the sound of heavy rain woke Wriothesly up. His eyes fluttered open to see Neuvillette crying in his sleep, he gently nudges Neuvillette to wake him up without startling him
"Neuvi?.. you okay, love?" He said, placing a kiss on Neuvillette's forehead. Neuvillette slowly woke up, tears flowing down his face, he hugged Wriothesly tightly and Wriothesly returns the hug
"what's wrong?" Wriothesly asked, patting Neuvillette's back. "I.. I just had a bad dream" Neuvillette said, nuzzling into Wriothesly's shoulder. "Can we sleep on the bed?" he asked, looking up at Wriothesly
"of course" Wriothesly said, helping Neuvillette up and taking him to the bedroom. They both got under the covers and fell asleep fairly quick, holding eachother in a warm embrace.
