Author’s pov

A boy dressed in a light blue shirt and black trousers was filling the metal rounded pot (lota) with water and put some flowers in it. He walked out of the kitchen to see everyone eating breakfast.

Bhai tu nashta nahi karega?” Vansh asked, stuffing the parantha in his mouth.
(Bhai, you will not eat breakfast?)

Nahi, today is Monday. So I am keeping a fast” The boy clarified while leaving for the temple barefoot.

“Looks like Daksh is keeping somvar ke vrat for his pasand ki ladki” That was the last sentence that fell into his ears before leaving. That was said by his Chachi and he could feel the hint of teasing in her voice.

He smiled while walking.

‘Pasand ki ladki? Yeah, as if!' He thought.

The temple was just 5 minutes away, and he reached there soon. He touched the entrance of the temple and entered inside.

After that, he went towards the shivling. He closed his eyes and chanted ‘Om namah Shivaay’ while offering the water to Shivji.

After he was done, He joined his hands and bent down in front of him.

After that when he opened his eyes, he felt some wetness in his hand. He frowned and held his hand up to see it. He shrugged it off realising that someone else might have accidentally poured some water on him while praying.

He moved backwards and went towards other chambers to pray. He entered inside and prayed to Shiv ji and Parvati maa.

A girl was already there, joining her hands and praying. He did not pay any attention to her and stood beside her. He too joined his heads and chanted prayer in his mind.

Suddenly a flower fell on his head, making him frown and open his eyes. He put his hand on his head and took the flower. He smiled, realising Shivji gave him his blessings. He joined his hands and thanked him for always giving him the blessings.

Two girls were on their way to their house after visiting the temple. They were walking beside each other.

“Why are you so happy today, Saanvi? Did something good happen?” One of the girls asked the other.

Haan, hua na! Something really amazing happened!” The girl whose name is Saanvi exclaimed.

Kyu? What happened?” Her sister asked.
(Why? What happened?)

“When I was praying to Shiv ji, a flower fell upon me!”

“Oh that means tujhe Shiv ji ki blessings mil gyi, lucky huh! ” She smiled at her.
(Oh that means you got Shivji's blessings, lucky huh!)

"But it could have fallen upon me because of the wind and it could have been a coincidence that I was there" She said.

"Are yrr tu humesha negative kyu sochti h? Kabhi thoda accha bhi soch liya kar" her sister whined.
(Yrr, why do you always think negatively? Think about positive things sometimes)

"Yeah I know! But it can be a possibility, right?" She shrugged her shoulders.

"Accha theek hai toh fir mera logical answer sun. Log kehte hai na ki 'Bhagwan ji ki marzi k bina ek patta tak nhi hilta', toh Shivji himself made it happen. Unki marzi se hawa chali, or unhi ki marzi se ye phool tere upar gira. He made it happen, Saanvi!" Her sister explained.
(Ok, then listen to my logical answer. People say that 'Nothing in this world happens without the God's permission', So Shivji himself made it happen. The wind came and the flower fell upon you with his permission only. He made it happen, Saanvi!"

Bas yrr, shaant now" Saanvi chuckled.
(Enough yrr, calm down now)

"Toh now you believe that it's his blessings?"

"Ab tune itna accha jawab Diya toh kaise na maanu?" Saanvi smiled making her sister squeal.
(Now that you explained it really well, how will I not believe it?"

Well it's literally an achievement for her that Saanvi agreed with her. Normally it's really hard to make Saanvi agree with anyone. She is very stubborn.

'I just hope that this blessing will change my life for the better!' She thought, admiring the flower in her hand.
