Common Mistakes After Break up

•Asking the ex-lover what was done wrong or why they broke up with you. Asking your ex what went wrong or why they broke up with you is a big no-no. When a breakup happens, reaching out to ask for explanations won't change anything. It might feel like you're seeking closure, but really, you're just finding excuses to keep talking to someone who's already moved on.

• Drunk dialing or texting Drunkenly dialing or texting your ex is a recipe for disaster. When you're intoxicated, you might think pouring your heart out will make them realize how much they miss you. But in reality, you're just making a fool of yourself. Sending emotional messages in that state won't bring them back; it'll only embarrass you.

• Claiming and begging that Ex. Begging and pleading for your ex to take you back is a surefire way to push them further away. Trying to guilt-trip them into rekindling the relationship shows desperation, not love. Even if they agree out of pity, how can you be sure it's genuine? It's better to respect their decision and focus on moving forward.

Matthew, please reply. Talk to me. Let's talk properly. Don't rush your decision. You're just confused. I know you still love me, and I want you to know that I love you very much. Please, let's talk about it.

"Maybe you will fall because of what you are doing," Xavier greeted Athalia, who at that time was almost immersed in her cellphone.

"Please, Joshua. Not now," Athalia said softly while continuing to walk.

Xavier noticed that Athalia was sad and anxious, so he decided to follow the girl. After a few minutes, he looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Why are you following me?"

"Sinusundan agad? Hindi pwedeng same way lang tayo ng dadaanan?"

"Okay" was Athalia's only answer.

Xavier was shocked because Athalia didn't try to argue with him. Instead of answering, the girl just continued walking while looking away. Because of Athalia's behavior, Xavier couldn't help but change, which is why he decided to accompany the girl on a walk. He watched her as she walked, dumbfounded. "Great. Aren't you drowning yet?" he asked Athalia. The girl just looked at him. "Because you are thinking too deeply."

Xavier was still speaking when he noticed that the girl was not listening to him and had focused her attention on others. He noticed Athalia staring at the other side of the street. He was surprised when he saw the girl was about to cross while passing a speeding taxi. Xavier immediately moved to drag Athalia back to the sidewalk.

"Hey, don't be so stupid! Green light!" Xavier said angrily to Athalia. But no matter what the young man shouted, the girl still ignored him.

Xavier followed the direction where Athalia was looking to find out what was attracting her attention. "Is he Matthew?" he asked while looking at the young man holding hands with a sexy and beautiful woman. After the traffic light turned red, Athalia quickly disappeared from Xavier's side, and he only saw her while crossing hurriedly. He immediately followed her and held her tightly by both arms.

"Thalia, what are you trying to do?" Xavier stopped Athalia.

"Xavier, I need to talk to him. Please, let me go," the girl pleaded while struggling.

Xavier was annoyed by Athalia's insistence on getting out of his grip, so he decided to pick up the girl and walk away.

"Xavier! What? Put me down!" Athalia beats Xavier. After a while,Xavier felt pain because of Athalia.

"Oh, there!" Xavier suddenly put the girl down when they were far away. He dropped it on the pavement, causing the girl to sit down.

"It hurts!" she said angrily, hitting Xavier again and again.

"Where did you get hurt? When you fell on the pavement or when your boyfriend was holding hands with other chicks?"

Xavier was stunned when he saw Athalia's crying and annoyed face. A few moments passed, and neither of them tried to speak. Xavier noticed that Athalia had no intention of going first, so he decided to break the silence.

"What are you planning? Follow him? Confront him? Slap him? Beg him to come back? What you're going to do is just stupid."

"Eh ikaw? To depend and hope your fate on a book? To sulk here in Baguio? And just let another man steal your ex? Isn't what you're doing also stupid?" was Athalia's meaningful answer to Xavier. "Kanya-kanya lang naman tayo ng katangahan pagdating sa pag-ibig. Kaya 'wag mo 'kong sermunan kung paano ako magpaka-stupid."

"Ayoko lang mapahiya ka sa harapan ng maraming tao at lalong tumaas ang ego ng lalaking, 'yun dahil sa paghabol mo sa kanya," the young man replied.

Athalia was speechless because of what he said. Xavier looked at the lousy girl, wearing a big t-shirt; she didn't comb her hair; she didn't have any powder; and she looked stressed.

Xavier shook his head. "Look at the way you look; you don't look like a girl. You forgot to comb your hair."

"Sobra ka na ah. Ang hard mo sa akin. I'm not in the mood to fight with you."

Xavier just smiled at Athalia's tantrums. "I'll give you free ice cream. That's a favorite of broken-hearted women, isn't it?" Xavier walked with the girl.

Athalia immediately removed Xavier's arm, and the young man just smiled when he saw that she was frowning.

"I don't know if you want to help me or just want to insult me," she said.

"There! That's Thalia, very rude," Xavier squeezed Athalia's nose.

"Ano ba! Close ba tayo? Ha?" Annoyed, Athalia removed the young man's hand from his nose. "Strawberry ice cream," Athalia said to Xavier, and together they walked to the nearest grocery store.

Xavier bought chips and a gallon of strawberry ice cream. The two decided to have a movie marathon at Athalia's house.

"Lika, doon tayo sa kwarto ko manood," Athalia told Xavier. "Wag, Thalia! Hindi pa ako handa!"Xavier replied to the girl while her hands were still folded.

"Teka! Linya ko 'yan ah!" Athalia said, laughing.

Xavier also smiled. "But seriously, let's just watch in the living room." And Xavier went straight to the living room.

Athalia was operating the DVD while Xavier was fixing the food when he noticed the girl's chosen movie, "One More Chance?" Xavier asked, clearly annoyed while scratching. He didn't do anything when the girl gave him puppy eyes. "Do I have a choice?" she said, shaking her head at Xavier's whisper.

While watching, Xavier just watched Athalia while crying but continued to eat ice cream. The young man couldn't help but shake his head and smile because of Athali's appearance.

"Yung uhog mo, baka mapunta sa ice cream, hindi lang ikaw ang kumakain," he said, handing a tissue to Athalia.

"You're ruining the moment." Athalia took the tissue and snorted. "Sana ako pa rin. Sana ako na lang. Sana ako na lang ulit," Athalia said while crying and sniffling along with Bea Alonzo's character, Basha.

"Eh, kabisado mo naman pala, eh," Xavier commented.

"Shhhh!" the girl scolded him. Joshua just shook his head.

"Nakakaiyak di ba, Xavier?" asked Athalia, who was still crying after the movie.

"Okay naman. Medyo Sadista ka rin, ano? Broken-hearted ka na nga, 'yan pa ang napili mong panoorin," he commented.

"At least I cried because of the movie, not because of him."

"Oh, hey, let's put the mess away so I can go home," Joshua started to tidy up together. While putting it away, his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and saw a woman calling. Athalia was curious about him.

"Who is Loisa? Is she your ex?" asked the girl. Joshua immediately hid his phone. "You won't answer. He just shook his head. "Why? Don't you want to get back together? "When asked that question, the young man just nodded again. "Why don't you answer the phone? "

"I'm not ready yet. Besides, it's less than 60 days."

"You're really crazy. Don't follow the book. You might even lose her," Athalia said angrily.

"Thalia, not just because of the book, but because of me personally. I want to improve myself before I face Loisa again," the young man explained.

After that, the girl did not answer him again and just nodded in response. After they put away their food, Joshua said goodbye to Athalia. The girl followed him out the door.

"Thank you for watching with me," Athalia said appreciatively as they parted ways outside Xavier's house. She went on to share a bit of backstory, revealing how she used to invite her friend Matthew to watch movies with her, but he always got upset. "So, since then, I've been watching alone," she admitted with a hint of loneliness. Then, with a touch of ambition in her voice, she confided, "Did you know I've always wanted to be a famous actor since I was a kid? Like Bea Alonzo and others."

Xavier couldn't help but smirk at Athalia's confession. "You'll be a famous and talented actor, and I'll be your leading man," he teased playfully, adding a touch of humor to their conversation. With a wink, he bid her goodbye and began walking towards his neighboring house, leaving Athalia with a warm smile on her face.

But just as Xavier was about to disappear from sight, Athalia called out his name, prompting him to turn around. "Maybe you're not as sweet as your ex wants," she remarked thoughtfully, her voice trailing off for a moment before she continued, "but honestly, whoever becomes your girlfriend is lucky." Her words were filled with genuine sincerity, and they made Xavier pause in his tracks, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Thanks," Xavier replied, his voice tinged with appreciation. "But hey, who knows? Maybe you'll be the one to make it big in Hollywood, and I'll be the one chasing after you for autographs."

Athalia chuckled at Xavier's playful remark. "Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see," she said with a grin, her eyes twinkling with excitement for the future.

With a final wave, Xavier turned and continued on his way, feeling grateful for the friendship he shared with Athalia and excited for the adventures that lay ahead.

As Xavier walked home, he couldn't shake off Athalia's words. They stayed with him like a friendly hand on his shoulder. Her unexpected praise lifted his spirits, making him feel grateful for her kindness. With each step, he felt more determined to pursue his dreams, knowing that Athalia believed in him.

Thinking about Athalia's encouragement, Xavier felt a warmth spreading in his chest. Her words were like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, bringing him hope and reassurance. He knew that, with Athalia's support, he could face any challenge that came his way.

As Xavier reached his doorstep, he couldn't help but smile. Athalia's simple yet meaningful words had made his day brighter. With her by his side, he felt ready to tackle whatever the future held.

As Xavier entered his home, he found himself replaying the conversation with Athalia in his mind. Her words had struck a chord within him, igniting a newfound sense of determination and purpose. He felt inspired to push himself further, motivated by the belief that Athalia had shown in him.

Sitting down in his room, Xavier reflected on the impact that Athalia had on his life. She was more than just a friend; she was a source of strength and encouragement during challenging times. Her support was guiding him through the darkness.

In the quiet of his room, Xavier made a silent promise to himself to always cherish the friendship he shared with Athalia. Her words of kindness and encouragement would serve as a reminder to him that he was never alone in his journey. With Athalia by his side, he knew that he could overcome any obstacle and reach for his dreams in the future.
