he gave you his number. your stop came a bit too quickly for your liking, and you left.
something was clawing at your heart. you know you've seen him before somewhere before, even if it was just in a dream.
you went home quickly. you fumbled for your keys and opened the door to your home. its getting dark out.
you hear your phone buzz in your pocket.

why were you meeting up with a stranger at the beach? because you weren't worried. if he had ill intent, you didn't hold your life very dear, anyways.
you slip your shoes back on and head back out, as if you didn't just return home a few moments ago.
the walk to the beach was nothing but peaceful. the trees were rustling in the wind, and the smell of autumn filled the air.
the sound of crashing waves caught your attention. seems you're here already. the same man stood in the sand, watching the water. he was the only one there, the sun on the brink of setting.
"hey." you spoke up, and he turned to you. he smiled. "[l/n]! or can i call you [y/n]?" he peered at you, and you walked over to him.
"how. do you know. my name." you huffed and grabbed him by the collar, and he laughed. but it died quickly. "you really don't remember me?"
you shook your head no. he frowned.
he grabbed your arm, and his grip was firm, yet careful, as if he didn't want to hurt or freak you out. he began to lead you away.
"[y/n], you still look and act the same." he sighed and walked on, dragging you behind.
the feeling of this man grabbing your arm gave you a strong sense of deja vu again. just who was this?
he didn't stop walking until you both arrived on a cliff, above the sea. why were you both here?
"what are you doing?" you finally asked. he beamed at you in return. "we're committing suicide, of course."
"i haven't said goodbye to my family yet." you stated, and tried to remove your grip.
"since when did you care for anyone other than me?" he retorted. you stared at him. another puzzle piece began to click.
he was right, however. you didn't really care for your family. you saw them as friendly roommates, rather than someone to trust and rely on. you did feel a strong gratitude for them, however.
"i've only ever cared for one person." your brow furrowed. "i don't care for you. i don't know you. i don't know why i accepted your offer."
"still so loyal, even without your memories. am i that forgettable, [y/n]?" he pulled you closer. he hugged you. it was strangely warm, and for some strange reason, you didn't feel the need to fight back. you allowed him to hug you.
his hands ghosted your waist as he nuzzled into the crook of your neck. a certain face in your memories began to unblur slowly.
"you said you would be delighted to die with me, correct?" he whispered. you were silent in response. he smiled again.
"da- no, osamu?"
