Worst nightmare

The world went back again.

Instead of leaving Snowdin's post to go hunting monsters, Sans yawned and went to his room. He wanted to lie down on the guard post in front of him and take a nap, but his bones would all feel stiff when he woke up from sleep at the guard post, and there were people who could come out of the ruins at any moment and threaten his life, so the guard post was not a good place to sleep. No matter how precious sleep was, you couldn't weigh it against your life.

Why doesn't my mental fatigue go away even when the timeline goes back? If your body is healthy, your mind should also be healthy. Sans flopped down on the bed and muttered gloomily, thinking it was unfair.

"I'm going to have another nightmare. I'm sick of it... ."

He has been suffering from nightmares for some time. The monsters that died at his hands couldn't tolerate even a brief moment of rest, so if he only dreamed while sleeping, it was a nightmare. No matter how much you get tired of seeing such a horrible sight, that only happens when you are prepared with a sound mind. Just like in a dream, I couldn't help the nightmare that came in a situation where I couldn't prepare for anything.

I had been putting off sleeping as much as possible because of the recurring nightmares, but this time I had no choice. The drowsiness was too strong to endure. Sans lay down on her bed, closed her eyes and welcomed the not so welcome sleep. Her mind sank down, down, like an anchor thrown into the water.

In the dream, Sans was standing in Snowdin Village.

The scenery was all grey-white and monotonous. I didn't like the bland color. It is clearly different from reality, but like most dreams, it is impossible to recognize a dream. Sands did not question the alien landscape. The village was empty and there was no one around, so the surroundings were quiet. Sans thought she might meet someone if she wandered around, so she wandered around the village. She walked over to the nearby Snow Din store and opened the door. Could there be someone inside? Unfortunately, inside the store, the fire in the unattended fireplace was burning alone and white. Sans looked around her for a moment and didn't find much interest, so she just left through the door she came in through.

There was nothing outside the door. In the moment I looked around the store, even the village, which had only structures left without residents, had disappeared. Sans looked around. There was only darkness. Still, I thought the store I just left would still be there, but when I looked back, the store was no longer there.

When everything disappeared, Sans just looked around, not knowing what to do. Meanwhile, something like white snow fell in front of Sans' eyes. Sans unconsciously held it with his fingertips. What she held with her fingertips did not melt like snow. She felt something and it crumbled and spread on her fingertips. Like dust. Sans decided it was dust. She looked up and saw dust falling like snow from the void. Sans, wondering where the dust was falling from, lifted her head and looked up.

Above my head, the body parts of all kinds of monsters were tangled like a tangled ball of thread. A bizarre mixture of eyes, mouths, beaks, and limbs were all moving differently, and dust was falling from between them. Sans made eye contact with one of those many eyes. The yellow beak right below opened and shouted, "Quite!" I let out a sharp scream. All eyes everywhere were looking at Sans. The monster lashed out at Sans with its wings, claws, and flames coming from an unknown source. A pile of dust rained down on him.

There was nowhere to escape. The screams were buried in the pouring dust.

"-Ahh!"

Sans screamed and jumped up from the bed, breathing heavily. She checked the time to see how much time had passed since she fell asleep, peeling off the clothes that had stuck to her because of the cold sweat she had suffered from the nightmare. She had only been asleep for two hours. A helpless laugh came out. Her head was pounding because she hadn't gotten enough sleep, but she wasn't in the mood to go back to sleep.
