"Lily," he began, his voice steady despite the flutter of nerves in his chest. "I hope this doesn't sound too strange, but my name is Daniel. We knew each other a long time ago, when we were just kids."

Lily's eyes widened in surprise as she took in the sight of Daniel standing before her, his name triggering a flood of memories long buried in the recesses of her mind. For a moment, she struggled to place him, the passage of time clouding her recollection of their shared past.

Tears welled up in Lily's eyes as she reached out to grasp Daniel's hand, the warmth of his touch grounding her in the reality of the moment. "I-I can't believe it's really you. I never thought I'd see you again. After all this time..."

Daniel's heart swelled with relief and joy as he looked into Lily's eyes, the weight of years of separation lifting from his shoulders. "I've missed you, Lily. More than you know."
