"Y/n, are you sure you'll be alright?"

The worried voice of one of the twins reached your ears as you continued to dig through your handy-sized bag that you adored so much. Letting out a small chuckle, your lips formed a smile as you turned over to give them a look, humored.

The laid-back tone you used seemed to worry them even more. And their concerns didn't seem to waver with the way you brushed past. "Come on guys, we've done this a million times; it won't make a difference if I'm a little late."

"A million is a stretch.." The rational tone of Lumine voiced out, following with a sigh. Your carelessness sure wasn't a new thing amongst them, but she had a bad feeling about this.

You took the opportunity to glance around momentarily before closing up your bag and rolling your eyes playfully.

"You're such a worrywart." You couldn't help but muse with a teasing smile. It was one of the many characteristics you adored about her. Upon hearing your response, the blonde huffed and turned away with a blooming blush on her cheeks, which made you and her brother laugh a bit.

"She's right though, Y/n." Aether intercepted, a small smile remaining on his face despite worry in his eyes. "We can't guarantee safety of the route. It'd be better if we stick together."

"Well... so far, it's been smooth sailing.." The grin that etched its way onto your lips dropped slightly upon watching the two of them loudly sigh at your near-sightedness.

"'So far' doesn't promise the future, idiot." Fierce amber eyes were directed at you, emitting a very sinister aura that added to the insult.

"Ouch.." You gasped in mock hurt.

"Once again, she's right.." Aether looked away and sweatdropped. He'd rather not get in the way of his sister's deadly glare.

While adjusting the strap to your bag, you looked around the surroundings and took in the cool breeze provided by the tall mountains that encased the lake near you.

"I just want to explore around a bit. It's gotta be around here... somewhere.." The sudden solemn tone of your voice made Lumine's hard expression soften significantly. She couldn't deny the importance of the matter and could only heave a sigh.

Momentary silence fell on the group, and the twins glanced at each other as you stared blankly at your shoes, hands gripping tight to the strap of your bag. Aether's signature smile dropped into a mere frown as he turned his head to face his sister, who expressed guilt in her eyes.

They shared eye contact for a moment before the blonde sighed, crossing her arms and huffing out of her nose.

"You better be careful."

Chuckling a bit, you immediately brightened up and tackled her into a surprise hug, which definitely caught her off-guard. "Of course! I'm the most careful person, a~live~!" You cheered, disregarding her flustered expression.
