By four am, both steven and lacy went back to their old rooms, she stared into a picture at her wall, it was her, belly, jeremiah, conrad and steven
belly was looking at conrad at the picture, while lacy was hugging belly, she never noticed the heart shaped hand steven had made just on top of her head
maybe it flew by her head, lacy must have thought it was just steven being steven, but with everything going on, it felt different, lacy touches the picture and smiles
"good night steven" she whispers to the picture
she hops into her bed and falls asleep, her sleep was getting better, it was more calm, less anxious, it was just better than usual
maybe its all because of steven, or maybe she's just finally healing, lacy didn't think to much of it and drifted to her dreams
she woke up feeling light and calm, it was late, 10 pm on the clock, she immediately got dressed and brushed her teeth, she rushed downstairs hoping for some breakfast, and luckily there was
"BELLY" lacy shouts immediately as she sees her "happy birthday!" lacy says, belly smiles and hugs her "thank you!" belly says, "we still have some pancake if you want some" laurel says
"that'll be nice" lacy says and breaks off from the hug, she looked around steven was nowhere to be found, jeremiah got close to her and whispered
"he's taking a shit" jeremiah says
lacy chuckles and rolls her eyes, pushing her brother away, she grabs some pancakes and started eating
"belly you're gonna love my gift" lacy says "not gonna beat mine" conrad says proudly "you two are nothing, mine is so unbelievably amazing" jeremiah says
"okay okay! i know you guys get competitive with it, but lets be calm this time? i appreciate every single one of your gifts" belly smiles at them, lacy watched as how conrad just smiles at her in awe
conrad was just so in love with her
"im done eating, lets open up some gifts!" lacy exclaims, they all walked towards the living room, "okay belly, before these kids fight, me and susannah will be the firsts ones" laurel says
she gives her a book with a bookmark, belly opens where the bookmark was placed, it was the poem susannah loves
"i remember susannah teaching us to recite this" belly says chuckling "for whatever we lose" belly starts "like you or me, its always ourselves we find in the sea" everyone joins in
