"hey you ready?" lacy asks him "hey yes!" steven says standing up from the couch "see you two later" steven says, lacy says good bye to her brothers and leaves the house with steven
"oh uhm we can take my car" steven says
"thought we were walking?" lacy asks
"really? you wanna walk that long?" steven asks chuckling "fine fine" lacy waits for steven to open his car, she takes a sit on the passenger side while steven sat on the drivers seat
lacy spaced out, thinking about what she just heard among them three, her heart was beating fast
am i an asshole for feeling this?
i just need someone, i cant be in a relationship again.
she clears her throat, "steven" she says
steven replies with a 'hm' "look" she faces forward him "i overheard you and my brothers" she says, steven looked at her nervously
"uhm steven" lacy says "its too much isn't it?" steven says, lacy flattens her lips "yes it is, you know i just got out of a relationship, a relationship i really cherished" lacy explains
"thank you for how you are to me, i wish i could handle this better and stuff, but please you have to understand" lacy says
"lace, calm down" he says "i know that" he says "im not gonna force whatever we are onto you" steven says "i know that me liking you for a long time is something" he explains
"yeah it really is steven" lacy says
"but you know, i just want you to enjoy this summer, and when i found out you two are broken up, i thought maybe i could shoot my shot" steven explains
"but i know what you're going through, im not gonna force anything, i hope you know that lace, i care about you" steven says, he smiles at her
"thank you steven" lacy smiles at him back
"why do you like me?" lacy asks him "whats not to like about you?" steven asks, "at first, i was just feeling so happy when you were there, then i started to notice everything about you, your hair when it hits the sun, how you swim, how you bond with the moms, everything, you're just so you" steven says
"i just cant explain it"

steven looks at lacy who was blushing "don't get so giddy there" steven chuckles "but when you brang him last summer, i felt so defeated" steven says
"i felt like the world was the one to tell me i don't have a chance with you" steven says
"you're being to mean to yourself" lacy says, steven sighs "i knew he wasn't for you" steven says, lacy nods "i understand, and i agree" lacy chuckles, steven and lacy spent their day together at town
window shopping and a little real shopping, lacy managed to get steven to buy her this snoopy stuff toy, she brung her digital camera with her and would constantly have steven to pose
lacy felt so happy, they decided to go home, "you're really pretty today" steven smiles as he parks the car "thank you steven, you look nice as well" lacy says, they both get off the car and went to the house
"i need to talk to bells" steven says, lacy nods and went their separate ways, steven knocked on belly's room, she opens it "whats up?" she asks
"can we talk?" steven asks seriously
belly agrees and lets him in his room
"its about lacy" he says, belly looks at him seriously "you're not gonna do something wrong right?" belly asks "no, i could never" steven says "then whats up?" belly asks again
"im scared" he says
"of what?"
"ruining everything"
"what do you mean?"
"today with her, it was amazing. but it just made me realize something, i could ruin whatever we have going on if we become something more than friends" steven says
"that's not gonna happen" belly says
"how can you say? i always mess things up, i don't want to hurt her, i don't want to mess things up, she says she isn't looking for something serious" steven says
"then do what she wants" belly says
"don't cross any boundaries or limitations she has given you" belly says
steven nods
"i know you care about her, everyone sees it, you just need to control yourself" belly says, steven nods and smiles "thanks bells" steven says
lacy was on her room fixing the things she bought when her door opened revealing her two brothers
"what" lacy asks
"how was today with steven?" jeremiah asks as they closed the door behind them "it was good" lacy smiles, conrad and jeremiah smiled at each other proudly
"i heard you guys talking" lacy says
both conrad and jeremiah's smile dropped
"w-what did you" conrad didn't know what to say "i told him i understand him but i cant just go for another serious relationship after what happened"
"oh, okay thats a good answer lace" conrad says
"but" lacy says, "but?" jeremiah and conrad asks at the same time "today it felt so different, knowing what he feels for me, it felt so lighter and better" lacy smiles at herself
"i've never felt so appreciated" lacy says
"thats good lacy" conrad says "but you two! stop doing that to him!" lacy says pointing at them, both brothers nod and leaves the room, telling her good night
the next morning, lacy was excited to spend another day with steven, she got ready and went downstairs, she wanted to cafe hop with steven
she found him at the kitchen, everyone was there
"steven! do you want to go to a bunch of cafe's? i saw this thing called cafe hop, where you go to different cafe's" lacy excitedly says
the others felt so happy with lacy's state, how excited, happy and outgoing she is again
"uhm no, i have things to do with shayla"
