In this bewildering realm,
Behold,
As the world dances on,
Heedless and bold,
When love is snatched away,
A heartache so deep,
A tiny bubble of stillness,
Where time does not creep.

A frozen tableau,
A moment of despair,
Loss and shock,
Suspended in the air.
But the passersby,
Oblivious they seem,
Unaware of the tremors,
The shattered dream.

Do they not sense the earth's trembling quake?
Can they not hear the whispers my thoughts make?
The echoes of their name,
Their visage so clear,
Their very existence,
Forever held dear.
