Paul McCartney: A Life by Phillip Norman

The relationship was brief, merely a few months long but always had shown much more potential than just puppy love. Admittedly, not much was ever really known about the sixteen-year-old Australian girl even after her brief love affair with Paul.

From the minimal Liverpudlians that knew her, all agreed that she was a girl known for her head-strong nature and who was riddled with a passionate love for music. For Paul McCartney, Daisy Twist was a significant muse even perhaps influencing the beloved melodies, the Beatles hit 'When I'm sixty four' or even the heart wrenching 'My sweet Daisy' featured on his first solo album.

It is believed the two met on a rainy, miserable Autumn day in September of 1958. . .
