Chapter 3 Home

The next day Ayin wakes up because of hunger. She knows that as a normal baby, she should cry and shout but she doesn't really dare to do it. After all her mother seems to love her a lot, unlike her previous parents who would throw her away for money. Her parents may be poor but she knows very well the reason they chose her intends of her 2 older siblings is because they did not like a burden with a weak body. The only person who worked in the family was her father and her mother refused to find a job. Even her eldest sister who was old enough to find one did not do so. And her parents never complain. Instead, they blamed her that she was t weak and useless and would not be able to earn any money for the family. Is that something one would say to a child who has not reached 13 yet? She has 2 healthy elder siblings who are in the age of 17 and 23 and they never told them that she should find themselves jobs. So why was it different for her? Although Ayin always thought this she never said it out loud because that would do nothing. They may even starve her to death in a fit of anger. 

So seeing her new mother love her she can't help but feel a mix of emotions. One part of her feels uncomfortable and overwhelmed as she is not used to it at all she has never experienced it before. Maybe she did in many of her past lives but she doesn't remember it at all so it doesn't count. She also feels happy, like her biggest dream has come true that she didn't even know that she had. So it stands to reason that she didn't dare to bother her mother as she might have been asleep more busy doing something else. So she doesn't make a sound and waits for someone to come to her.

Ayin: Someone must come sooner or later, after all, which loving parent wouldn't check on their baby?

She was right as it did not take long for her mother together with the butler to visit her. Both of them walk to the crib and look at her with caring and gentle eyes.

Jasmin: " Ah, so you are awake sweetheart."

She says as she strokes her head. 

The butler: " My lady really takes after both you and master with her looks, she will be a beauty in the future."

Jasmin: "Of course, how can she not be when her parents both as stunning looks." 

The butler: " Ofcurse madam, but why is our young miss so quiet, i have not heard her cry even once. She must be hungry by now." 

Jasmin: " I dont know, I worry too but the doctor said that she is perfectly healthy so maybe it is her personality?"

The butler: " If so I wonder who she inherits it from since both you and master are very lively people." 

Jasmin: " I hope that her personality won't be similar to her grandfather." She says with a worried tone.

The butler: " Madam, with a caring mother like you I am sure that. it won't happen. At least she will not be unempathetic."

Jasmin: " You are right, my daughter will absolutely not sacrifice her family for benefits."

She says and the old butler smiles at her and picks Ayin up.

The butler: " Since she is not crying I will see if her diaper needs to be changed and then we can see if she is hungry."

Jasmin: " Let me do it."

The butler: " Do you know how to do it?"

Jasmin: "... No but you can teach me."

The butler: " Alright." He says and gives Ayin for Jasmin to carry. Then they both go toward the Changing table. The butler patiently teaches Jasmin how to do it and after 3 attempts she got it right. She then changes her clothes to a black with yellow dots onesie. Jasmin looks at her work with satisfaction and then proceeds to breastfeed her. So the butler grabs a chair for Jasmin to sitt on and then proceeds to throw away the dirty diaper. Being breastfed Ayin can not help but be a little embarrassed, after all her mental age is 17 but knowing that this is all-natural she doesn't fight back and obediently eats until she is not hungry anymore. After that Jasmin decides to carry her around the mansion and shows her off to all the servants and bodyguards. In total, there are 20 servants and 30 bodyguards. The bodyguards are all trained elites that her father personally trained and are all loyal to him. But since he is now dead they have all decided to stay to serve his wife and offspring as that is what he would have wanted. It is said that their respect and loyalty for him will never be forgotten even when he is now gone from this world. Such loyalty is so deep that it is scary and that is one of the reasons why John Fera was so feared by his enemies. Jasmin explained all this even though she knew that there was no way that a newborn child would remember this. She even introduced the most important people in the mansion. The butler is named Lume Terra. He is 47 years old and was working in the army together with her father but when he wounded his spirit core during a mission he was discharged as he wouldn't be able to endure operating a mecha for more than an hour. So he decided to follow her father as his most trusted butler. 

Now what is a spirit core, well the spirit core is where a person stores their spiritual power. If it is cracked or destroyed in the best-case scenario you will lose your ability to use spiritual power and in the worst-case scenario, you will be crippled or die. Lumes wound is not severe so he can still use spiritual power but only for a short time at it is not enough to stay in the army. 

Then there is his wife the housekeeper Cleo Novella and the three 3 head maids. Josefine, Maria and Lisa. There is also the couch man Will Huntersen. Among the most important people among the bodyguards, there is Loise Loyal, Carry Moonsovoir, and Lilly Pride. Jasmin continued to introduce every servant and showed her around all the different rooms in the mansion. The mansion has 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 family room, 2 offices, 1 great hall, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room, and some extra rooms too. That excludes all the rooms for the servants and bodyguards. But she did not show off those. The whole tour and introductions took about 5 hours and now it was time for her to take a nap. So Jasmin put her into her crib and told her a story about how she and her father met. While she talked about her deceased husband Ayin could tell how much her mother loved her father, so much so that if she did not know better then she would have thought that they just started dating. Ayin can not understand her mother's feelings of love but she doesn't mind listening to the story.
