LULU'S POV!

after i posted the dump on insta, i figured i would head to first period, study hall as the bell is going to ring.

atleast i had study hall first. however, i had chemistry second, and today there was a quiz.

when i made it to study hall, i took my seat in the back of the room putting one airpod in and getting out my computer. i was trying to remember if anyone in here was also in chem with me, and the only person i could think of was connor noon. he sat there scrolling on his phone, probably looking for music, so i went up to him.

"hey connor" i said

"oh hey lulu what's up?"

"can u help me study for the chem quiz next block i'm so confused?" i asked

"oh sure i gotchu" he said sat next to me

the majority of the time we ended up just talking about other things, but one in particular struck a conversation.

"hey can i ask something?" he said

"i mean you just did but sure con" i replied

"what happened between you and brady? you were best friends?"

oh.

so brady clearly didn't tell him what he did huh.

"uhm it's a long story, but basically when we were younger we had a promise to never leave eachother. and that's what he did. we were 14 and i make the mistake of falling for him, and i told him that. after that he blocked me on everything and completely ditched me. we haven't talked since really..." i explained starting to tear up

"i'll be back con." i said leaving the room to go find lia.

first period, she had art. thank god she could actually leave that class

i ran to the bathroom sobbing and texted her telling her to meet me.

"lu? where are you?" i heard a voice.

"lia! i'm in the big stall, here come in..." i choked out, while sobbing

"oh love, what happened?!" she asked

"i- he- con-" i couldn't talk

"slow your breaths you got this."

i took a few deep breaths.

"connor, he asked about me and brady. he didn't know what happened."

"i'm sorry el, he's a dick for doing that to you, not connor, but brady"

"yeah i know lia. can u stay here?" i asked

"of course" lia responded

i had her get my stuff from study hall, we stayed in there the whole period. she helped me study a bit for chem, but i couldn't even focus on that right now. i was too focused on brady.

i kept switching the music, trying to pick a song that fits my mood. i ended up playing ari's new album, eternal sunshine. i really resonate with it right now.

the bell run which meant it was time for chemistry.

the test actually wasn't that hard, it was 25 questions, and we could use reasources. i think i did good but i don't want to jinx it.

after it was over i was on my phone just texting and watching tiktok when brady came over. fuck no. i thought. i do not want to talk to him.

"hey eloise can we talk?" he asked

okay clearly he was being serious he called me eloise. i wonder what he actually wants.

"what do you want brady? i'm trying to do something." i snapped

"uh if doing something includes scrolling on tiktok and waiting for lia to text you back then yeah you are doing something."

"wtf stalker. what do you want brady."

"jeez lulu, i was trying to apologize but okay."

"first off don't call me lulu. and i think your apology is a bit late brady, it's been 3 years."

"if you don't want to accept it, that's your problem, but just saying sorry" he said standing there just looking at me.

"you can go now." i said then he walked away.

god i hate that man.
